Peebles (18-3) vs. Zane Trace (12-9) 2/28
Peebles (18-3) vs. Zane Trace (12-9) 2/28
Peebles hammered West 88-60.
Zane Trace beat Huntington 60-58 in OT.
Two different styles of play in this game.

Re: Peebles (18-3) vs. Zane Trace (12-9) 2/28
You said it...two different styles. ZT needs to keep this one in the low fifties to have a shot. Whoever is successful with the tempo probably wins.
Re: Peebles (18-3) vs. Zane Trace (12-9) 2/28
Zane Trace has no shot in this game. Peebles is the hotest team in the Southeast district.

Peebles wins but any good team has a shot (including Zane Trace). Peebles by 13.

I have never seen Peebles play, but I have seen numerous Lawhorn teams when he coached at Rio Grande.
This team sounds very similar.
Push the ball and shoot the three.
Up tempo to the max.

Bozo
I think your right about your comparison. This team has recently scored point totals of 98, 90,89,88, and 80. That's pretty good for southern Ohio basketball.

Can someone post both schedules to compare.......I dont see Peebles scoring 80 points Saturday. Maybe I'm wrong.

Re: Peebles (18-3) vs. Zane Trace (12-9) 2/28
Depends on what Zane Trace team shows up. If they come to play should be a close game that could go either way, if not, I see Peebles winning by a wide margin.
Re: Peebles (18-3) vs. Zane Trace (12-9) 2/28
I'm not to sure that the guards for Z.T. can handle the quickness that the Peebles guards are capable of applying.
Re: Peebles (18-3) vs. Zane Trace (12-9) 2/28
Actually, I think they can handle the quickness. Our guards at Westfall are pretty quick. ZT played two very close games against WF. Actually last year, Gibson held Blake Justice in check and put a thumping on Peebles. Now, Justice is a year older and a stud but just comparing a little. Bottom line is, Zane Trace plays to the level of their competition except at Piketon this year. The beat Piketon at home and V.C. at home but almost lost to a one win time also. So I'm sure they will be up for Peebles. Like I said earlier, if the tempo is slowed, Z.T. has a chance. But if this game is won by 10 points or more...it can only be Peebles.
Re: Peebles (18-3) vs. Zane Trace (12-9) 2/28
12/15/07...like I said, it was last season(westfall 76 peebles 53)...just comparing that ZT has faced quick guards.

Peebles' losses were early in the season, 12/13, 12/30, 1/9 to top seeded
(1)North Adams (20-0) twice once in league play and once in holiday tourney and
(2)Alexander by 1 at the convo. Peebles led by 14 at the half. The winning foul shot was made and taken away due to a lane violation it was a heartbreaker! They've since been on a 12 game winning streak.
