Re: West Baseball 2009
The Siders should have a good season. There is no doubt Alfie Bricker is the best player on the team.
Re: West Baseball 2009
I didn't know Josh Wilfong even played baseball...maybe it was done as joke?
Anyway Bricker is the best player on the team with Journey at a close second.
Heres my projected lineup for this year
Catcher - Anthony Knittel (Not sure about this one)
1st Base - Alfie Bricker
2nd Base - Brandon Rawlins
Shortstop - Travis Journey
3rd Base - Ethan Morgan
Left Field - Joe Bartlett
Center Field - Mark Murphy
Right Field - John Allen
Pitchers
Alfie Bricker
Mark Murphy
Ethan Morgan
Anthony Knittel
Of course the line-up will change depending on who is pitching, and there could be some freshman step-up

Re: West Baseball 2009
need some leadership to support teammates instead of demoralizing your teammates. we have a chance of being real good or real bad
Re: West Baseball 2009
Well seeing as that I don't play baseball, I'm not trying to demoralize anyone. I just know who is playing, and Josh Wilfong is not someone that is from my knowledge, I just assumed someone put it on here as a joke to him or something, you know kids these days

For the sake of west baseball I hope that is true, because Wilfong would be good.
Anyway any predictions on a record this year

I dont know about all that. He is good but not that good. West will be competitive but once they start to get out scored they turn on each other and show their immaturity.

Re: West Baseball 2009
exactly.....thanks for the conformation, my statement is proven true
and i dunno when you played for west, but when i played we won almost every matchup. i remember playing west at chillicothe paints stadium and a player from west came to us while we were stretching and offered us all....um....oral.....we will put it that way....if we won the game. well, i am still waiting for my prize that we won easily

Re: West Baseball 2009
graduated from webster in 2001...played 4 years, was a contender for the soc every year i played
Re: West Baseball 2009
Graduated in 1996 we won 2 SOC, 3 straight sectionals, 2 straight districts and lost in the regional finals twice . All 3 years we lost to the State champ 94 Liberty Union, 95 Paint Valley, 96 Burg. Can you say that SWBaseball, didn't think so

Re: West Baseball 2009
no, i cant say that, and congrats on getting to be a part of that, but i wasnt boasting about SW being the best team back when i played, just mentioning that when i played we were a diferant team.
webster will be a contender this year no doubt about it. and they will have sportsmanship on the field
