Unless my ears and mind tricked me on the ride home with the radio, Piketon played Eastern Brown* tonight.
I had no idea that Eastern Pike played or in this case didn't play ... I was looking at the WKKJ website - one of my regular stops to find scores - and it listed Eastern Pike playing Piketon ... no harm no foul ...
Eastern Brown 55
Piketon 45 final ... Coach Beucler will be glad that we gave his boyz the "W" then ! ... I did say to myself - wow! Eastern Pike playing 3 games this week ? ...
I'll fix the score on the Big Board - thanks ... Eastern Brown , Eastern Pike, Eastern Meigs/Reedsville Eastern , SouthEASTERN , Portsmouth EAST - it took me a whole year back in 2001-02 to figure them all out LOL ... so I'll forgive the radio sports guy/gal at WJJK
... looking forward to a good weekend of hoops ! the Pfloyd Tour will be in Beaver Eastern Friday night to see Eastern Pike vs Portsmouth Clay ... Saturday evening I will be catching Portsmouth vs Waterford and Portsmouth East vs Minford at Portsmouth High School ... it's been a few years since I have gotten a chance to view all of the garnered district, regional and state level hoops hardware of the Portsmouth Trojans - it will fun to see the trophy case of the 4 time state champion PHS Trojans ... 15 final four appearances ... 2nd all-time in the state of Ohio ...
I wouldn't count out Huntington this year. They will be returning a key player this week in Jesse Lewis. This group of kids have been playing together a long time and really know how to compliment each other. With Cooper being eligible this year he can definitely make some buckets and spark the offense. I would say they will be in the top 4 of the SVC and might make a run to the convo this year.
