hoopscoop: I still have your number, and if I hear anything I will contact you. Right now, it is uncertain as to whether he will be back.

I have been put under a gag order by high ranking officials. Don't be suprised at a major shake up of more than one coaching position.

Rockfish,
Are you referring to the basketball program only or other programs (baseball, football) when referring to the coaching shakeup??

Also, is the Tyson Phillips that coached for West now on staff? Or is this a different Tyson Phillips?

Heard a rumor today that the Horne kid is back on the roster for the 2009-2010 season...anyone know if this is true? trojandave?
I didn't think you could jump on this late into the game. Teams are already practicing.
A big help to the Trojans if this is true.

I'm told Portsmouth looks much improved...Piketon got better as the day went on. Streaks go 5-1 , sweep Belpre 3-0 (+6, +9, +15) and 2-1 vs. Portsmouth (-1, +7, +8). Streaks will be at The SVC Preview on Friday and then a big Scrimmage at Harvest Prep with a couple of DI schools on Saturday.

Re: Portsmouth Basketball 2009-10
Was very impressed with Portsmouth yesterday, considering that the McKinley kid was out and with the transfers. I only got to see the Trojans play twice last season, but this teams looks much more discipline and they played very hard yesterday. Coach Collins is doing a good job with them. The one hole I see is the height disadvantage, but the quickness and intensity on defense can create a lot of problems with teams they'll face.
Thanks to all the coaches at Portsmouth for having a great meal prepared after the scrimmage. Just wanted to say Thanks, once again.
Being a former Fighting Tiger, I did like the picture of the Trojan over the door going into the gymnasium. Our players noticed that it said Iront- on the front of it. Coach Lisath has been telling the boys at Piketon about all the respect you get by winning and how you build that program of respect whenever you hear the name, and he's been telling old Ironton/Portsmouth stories of the battles in basketball and football, but both teams have a high level of respect for each other's programs. On the field/court it's a battle, but outside, there is a high level of respect!
