Congratulations to the Lady Oaks. Impressive win tonight. Good luck against South Point.
I assume that the score above is a typo and the actual score was 75-51?

Re: Monroe Central vs. Oak Hill---Regional Semi-Final
The refs were really bad tonight. Usually do not say anything about the zebras. Their was a young lady ref and an older bald ref that were two of the worst refs I ever seen at any level. I was not impressed with Monroe's sportsmanship. The refs let them get away with everything, like shoving players from behind and not even warning them to clean up their play. This is a good way to get someone hurt. The Oaks had to play 7 to 8 people all night long. The foul calling was very blatantly one sided. At this level you expect better refs. Good luck on the next game, hopefully we get descent refs for the game against South Point, and let the girls play a good clean game both ways. Both teams deserve it.

If it was one sided it surely didn't help Monroe by the end results. As for the comments someone made about the Lancaster gym,I actually like it,its got a little character thats lacking in some of these new gyms or cafatoriums. You know, gym, auditorium, and cafeteria all in one..

That's a good one..On a serious note hopefully nobody got hurt. That's what happens sometimes when the refs let things get out of hand. From reading the other thread it sounds like it got a little chippy at the end of the Ironton game too..

No one was hurt in this one. But I have seen a player get hurt and it not fun to see. It was because a ref let things get way out of hand. That's what had me peeved at the refs. We live to play another day

Re: Monroe Central vs. Oak Hill---Regional Semi-Final
As a neutral observer from neither teams county (I was at the game also) the refs did do a very bad job at times. As for the sportmanship of the MC girls I believe it was a combination of tiredness and frustration (the Oak Hill girls ran and pressed them all night long) and the roughness really started at about the 4:30 mark of the 4th quarter when, with the lead already 20+ points the Oak Hill coach kept up the pressure and didn't substitute the starters out until the 1:08 mark when the last 2 starters were sat down. I agree with 1974Viking that fouling is an easy way to get someone hurt but until the refs call intentional fouls, "T" someone up or the winning coach pulls the starters a little earlier, these things are always going to happen.

OH was up 20 with 3 min to go. In tournament time this is doable for a team to make a comeback.

FANOSPORTS,
That is what Oak Hill does. They press the entire game regardless of score. Teams have to deal with it.
