Why not get a grant for a new facility altogether to be used for all sporting events?

I agree, why build a "practice gym" only? If you're going to build something new make it the game time gym and use the old one for other things.

Good.....just good......this will be GREAT news if it happens. Whether it be for practice or they build it big enough for games it will be great. For alot more reasons other than just the high school, it will help the Jr. High as well as the pee-wee program as well.

Yeah because it's not like East could use another gym or anything  ....only 4 teams share a gym in which with a new one teams could get a little more gym time....

a half hour or so is a big difference.

That is true, but a new gym is better than nothing at all. I would like to see us get a new school with a new gym in it and the practice gym, as well as keep the gym we have now....but I doubt that all will happen at least for a while if ever.

6 mil for a practice gym? Who's building it, Trump? Keep the old one for practice and build a gym with a regulation size floor so that the kids aren't always looking down to see if they are out of bounds. You can't shoot a "3" from the corners without being in the stands. East deserves better than what they have now.

It sure would be nice to have a new gym for games or practice. Great Idea our kids should have nice things too.

Build soemthing to hold your games. All though your existing court gives you a big "home court" advantage, your existing court should not be allowed to be used for varsity games (it changes the game that much).

Good luck though. If it is good for your kids...then how could it be bad?

Surely for 6 mil. they can get something other than just a practice gym if that is what the grant they are trying to get is for.
