I believe Oak Hill will win. However, with my observations of them playing, I have seen them 4 times, I would do 3 things. 1st I would play their big man, their PG, and their SG man to man. The other two guys I would pack into the paint and not even guard the other two. Make them shoot it. Consistently they can't. 2nd, control the tempo. Oak Hill plays a very slow game that sometimes falls into the other teams hands. Oak Hill is very good up tempo team, but with their lack of depth they really can't sustain the pace. you have to pick the pace you want, not allow them to dictate what pace it will be. 3rd, go straight at them. Passing around the perimeter gets you know where with their long stretched out zone. They are long and really don't give up a lot of threes. Again, if you get them in foul trouble they are in big trouble. This could be there downfall. Only going with one, sometimes two subs will cost them if they get tired and have to go deeper.

With that being said, my prediction:

Oak Hill 55 Waterford 50.

If Waterford gets to 60 they will win.

With all this negativity being posted, Oak Hill is going to come out madder than a pack of wild dogs on a 3 legged cat and just might beat Waterford by a large amount. Or with all this hype about Waterford being so good they come out with so much confidence that they beat Oak Hill by a large amount..or both teams have this same mind set and this be the best game of the Tournament yet! I hope its a good one and I think it will be! Good luck to both teams.

Congrats to both teams on a great season thus far and for making it to the District Championship game! :aaaaa41 :aaaaa41 :aaaaa41 :aaaaa59 :aaaaa59 :aaaaa59

Challenging schedule? Are you kidding me? I think anyone who knows basketball knows they did not have a challenging schedule. How many SOC schools made it out of Sectionals? SOC 2 schools, I believe only one made it. South Gallia, Symmes Valley, a mediocre Canton Team. These are not exactly world beating competition.

So you are suggesting that waterford...who plays in the TVC Hocking mind you...played a better schedule?

Every now and then you'll get a special team out of the TVC (Eastern 01'/Belpre 01').....This waterford team falls well below the level of those teams (or any Eastern team from 2000-2005).

The Hocking Division might be one of the worst D4 conferences in the state....

I think Oak Hill wins by around 10.

Did Oak Hill beat Waverly twice, didn't Waverly beat Chillicothe. When comparing schedules, the majority of Oak Hill's schedule is like comparing apples to oranges. Waterford is playing well right now and the Cunningham that I saw up a Wellston is a better player than he has ever been in the past. Picking Oak Hill is not putting Waterford down, they have a fine team. But I have to take Oak Hill in this one if they play to their abilities. Yes Cunningham could possible be the best player on the court that day but rest of the Oak Hill team is better over all.

Anyone know of any webcasts or Internet radio available for the game?

I'll be rooting for the Oaks.

Seen this scenario plenty of times at the Convo. Team A looks like crap in semis while Team B looks unbeatable. In the finals, Team A plays up to the competition, and wins. I'll say Oak Hill by 5. Good luck Oaks...only SOC team left.*

^^^^^ I was not responding to a post about Waterfords Challenging Schedule. I was responding to the post of Oak Hill's Challenging Schedule. Which really wasn't that challenging. I am an SOC guy, but reality was and showed, the SOC was not very good this year. I could care less if Team A lost to Team B but Team B beat Team C which Team A didn't play. :122249
I do believe the Oaks will win on Saturday, but they better bring their A game. If they bring anything less they will go home unhappy.
One thing that is for sure, Waterford is a "hot" team right now and very confident. Those two ingredients will take you a long ways in the D4 tournament.
And once again, D 4 in SE is not very good. When people realize this and wake up then maybe people will understand. It is a bunch of bad teams playing 1 or 2 good teams.

I am starting to think that these Oak Hill people are just about as dumb as the trimble people on this site this is starting to become a really funny matter

I'll second that. They think their team is the best team in the history of the universe just because they lost 2 games on an EASY schedule. Waterford lost 4...and as you can see, the TVC Hocking just beats up on each other throughout the season, but when it comes down to it, the best teams in the Hocking advance to district final games. Oak Hill hasn't impressed me at all in the last two weeks...and I don't think that they can just flip a switch and be this amazing team I keep hearing about. HOWEVER, I do think Norm will have them ready..you can't just disreguard one of the best coaches in ohio hs basketball. Although he'll have them ready, it just comes down to performance..and if waterford stays hot, I'm taking the wildcats.

I think that you have us all wrong. Do we think that we can be beat? Absolutely, especially if we play the way we have been playing. What we are trying to say is that you have seen a couple of our worst games. Ask your coaches about the rest of our season, they know how good we can be. As far as thinking that we can't just flip a switch, I would once disagree, but this team can definitely flip a switch. I have seen it many times already this year. The question is will they flip the switch Saturday or not.

Well, frakkin' duh!!! because then they would be D3 teams playing in D4!

As a wise old coach once said to me, "... and if your aunt had balls, she would be your uncle!"

Did you even read the whole post or only see that statment and get your panties in a bunch? Thanks, for let everyone know that they were D3 and D2 teams that would be playing D4 teams I don't think anybody would of been able to figure that one out if it wasn't for your keen eye.

I'll take Oak Hill in a close one. I think if they take the ball right to Cunningham a lot they can get him in foul trouble pretty easy because he tries to block everything that even comes close to him. He is much less dominating sitting on the bench. ;-)
