Re: Andy Hall hired as new Jackson coach
And what do you mean by this "On the outside all will look well, but on the inside it will be a different story."

Andy Hall will be a real plus for Jackson. Quarterbacks in Jackson will be thankful he is there.

quarterbacks? which ones he will be lucky to have 30 kids his first year. I hope he can turn it around he is going to need 3 years to do that. I know 5-5 does not sound bad to some school but not in J- town!!!
Re: Andy Hall hired as new Jackson coach
There is a very talented QB at Jackson right now that should greatly benefit from Hall's knowledge. Eric Landrum is a hard-working kid who has a strong arm, great instincts, and he can beat you with his legs as well. The numbers at Jackson have been down, but it's Coach Hall's job to get them back up. There is talent there to work with. The Jackson community just needs to be patient for a change.
It looks like Coach Hall has made some enemies somewhere along the line. He hasn't even coached a game at Jackson and there are already people saying that he's not good for the program. I hope that he can prove them wrong.

Why didnt Minford pick him up on their staff after he was let go at Valley? One can only wonder.

Time he may need to get things turned around but know one can predict the future.
How well did his Qb's do at his past schools. Usually J-Town is blessed with big strong lineman with them not throwing it much past few years may take a while to teach them to pass block. Is any of Jacksons current staff staying or will it be The Hall Show? Larry wasn't much for tossing the pigskin around when he was at Burg but not his show now wonder how long it will take them to running the ol counter trey.

Not all coaches will be new, there are 3 new coaches joining the coaching staff so far but not sure of names....Coaches that are staying;Jake Taylor,Doug Wooten,Morgan Williams.

Marietta had the same problem, as soon as we started throwing the ball more (3-5 times a game during Tim Hale's tenure; 20-35 times a game with Spicer and Schob) our numbers rose quickly. Kids think it is more fun and it also will get those kids out who think they are not "big enough" to be part of the smashmouth system.

What Hall knows about quarterbacks (and to his credit he does know the position well)....he knows a lot less about a lot of other things. People need to realize that just knowing X's and O's will not win games.

I agree with you junkie, especially with 2 alpha males wanting to have the lead role. I seen this cause some problems with the playoff game last year. Who wins the lead, the HEAD coach or the DAD, time will tell. History tends to repeat it self.

How do you know he didnt help out during practices at Minford? Maybe he wanted to take a year off?
Hall will have success at Jackson. Kids will want to play for him because he is young and enthusiastic, i.e Coach Daniels at Minford. Lest we forget he was the Off. Coordinator for Valley when they went to the Regional finals.

I have no inside information,I'd expect more than one QB transfer. This may be Jackson get even year on transfers. You know the ball will get aired out in Jackson next year.

I dont know where you recieved your information from because Hall was relieved of his Off. Coordinator duties prior to the playoffs that year.

Re: Andy Hall hired as new Jackson coach
Why would you say ball is going to be aired out, it wasn't at east last year or at RH or valley the last two places Andy coached. Just because you work for a qb academy doesn't mean you can get your players to be great qb's or have great passing games. I would still want my son coached by his qb coach than someone who is being paid the amount of Money it costs to go to The Slack guys qb academy. Not for the poor
