Just make sure you wear your green-and-gold shirts I92 ... We don't want you guys feeling left out or out of place amongst all the Bulldog fans cheering on their team!
"it's been a while".....has Athens ever made it to week 12? Has Athens ever scored in the playoffs?

Are you sure Ervin is a career 4.0? He is a very intelligent kid, but I didn't think he still had a 4.0

Unless something has changed recently...either way it is really close, he is definitely a smart kid and one heck of a football player. I'm just pointing out Jackson really isn't just some dumb football jocks, these kids do very well in the classroom and that shouldn't be overlooked. I forgot Athens was Harvard of the TVC though.

Ironman tradition missed the joke I think ... Uh, it was kind of a 'dig' on Athens buddy - not Jackson.

I92 ... lol ... Did Desales let us score late in the game? I can't remember.

Not sure....bulldog I was home crying on my golf letterman jacket after our 42-38 loss.

IronmanTradition...you asked who the home team was with a smiley emoticon and bulldog just tried to give a funny back....with his own emoticon. Bulldog wasn't looking down or calling any Jackson players stupid. Bulldog is harmless (all bark and no bite lol)

I heard today that no less than 14 Bulldog players have missed school/practice this week due to an illness going around the school, I hope they are all well by tomorrow.

There has been a lot of that this season. Hopefully everyone is ready to go tomorrow night. I'd like to see both teams as close to 100% as possible.

Me too, I do know for sure that our starting tight end won't be playing, he has pneumonia and mono and is recovering in a Columbus hospital.

Sorry to hear that. Hope he gets well soon. I'm sure not being there tomorrow night will be very difficult for him.

boys boys boys there is no joking when it comes to play off time. I wasn't joking, I was being serious when I made the home team statement.

look for some revenge after the Ironmen were sent home in an ugly way last year after the first round, Coach Hall won't let that happen again. Athens will be mainly out coached, and out played in the second half. Better hope the dogs put up 21 in the first half again, because Jackson will definitely score a few times in the second half. Half time adjustments win games.

GO IRONMEN

I hope they all are well enough to play like they have all year.

Hope for a speedy recovery for the TE.

The kid is actually a big loss for Athens ... I wasn't going to say anything about him, but its pretty much common knowledge about him being up in Columbus ... But not having him really hurts, he's one of those 'tough guys' that likes to hit - and does a lot of the dirty work blocking on offense so Sharp and co. can get around the end (or even run off-tackle). He also had 6 catches for 122 yards and a score as the starting TE. But its that crucial experience at DE that hurts - especially with a team that has a QB that can scramble or run the 'zone-read-option' plays ... You have to have a good, smart, tough DE to keep containment and make sure that QB doesn't get out around the end!

Its a loss - definitly.
