Alder vs Jackson next week. Nice, I think the Ironmen's run will be ending though. Alder is tough.

Jackson can beat Alder but they will need to control that clock on them Ironton played with Alder but couldn't stick in the end zone should be a great game but a winnable game for Jackson

Congrats Jackson. You deserved it tonight. Good luck next week again Alder. Get all the info you cam from Logan on them.

Athens will be ok I think. They lost a great group of seniors like NY is. I hope some of them get the opportunity to play on Saturdays, even if it is D3 or NAIA. Athens has a QB for next year, but needs to replace Sharp and Rider, which will be hard, but possible. Athens will be the preseaon favorite to win the Ohio next year.

With Athens and N-Y out, it's up to Trimble and South Gallia to carry the flag for the TVC.

I think perhaps we seen two let downs by Athens and NY tonight - after their epic week 10 show-down ... It probably wouldn't have mattered in the Athens game though - Jackson was just a little bit bigger, a little stronger and a little bit faster ... But whatever life and emotion the Bulldogs had was drained right out of them in the 1st quarter when it was 3rd-and-1 at the three-yard line with a chance to go up 7-0 ... 1 yard ... and for some odd reason - Athens is in a shot-gun formation trying to go 6-yards just to gain one! Of course it failed on 3rd down, and then failed again on 4th ... What happened to the good ol days when you either gave it to your full-back up the gut; or just hiked the ball and had your QB push forward? The spread is o.k. if you have the tools to run it right (i.e. Jared Humphreys, Donnie Johnson or a kid like Osborn) - but when you don't, its not a great offense to run. IMO.

But hey, like I said ... It probably wouldn't have mattered what offense Athens ran - when the team your playing is just better, its tough.

Congrats Jackson.

Cool part about the night ... Got to hang out with Dave Humphreys a little, got to talk to Ironman02, sat with Locos and 2old ... The 'social' part was great; the game - not so great ... lol

JOTTINGS - Jackson 27, Athens 7 ... Final

Congratulations Jackson. Don't be satisfied, remember the championship is a five game tournament. You have taken that first step. Get ready physically and most of all mentally for next weeks game.

Congratulations Athens you had a great season and have no reason to hang your head.

So proud of the Bulldogs!!! Short handed tonight without Skinner, Mack, Maxson, and Ziolkowski (for most of the game) but that doesn't Athens would have won. Congrats Ironmen. You were a hungry football team tonight. This Bulldog fan will be hoping for the best for you.

Congratulations to the ironmen, lets face the facts. I'll say it if no one else will. What was going on with the play calling? Seems to me the coach was playing not to get blown out and not to win. You have a work horse in Sharp and he wants to turn into a passing team 4th and inches and you go option nuff said.

Well, picked this game correctly but the road for Jackson ends next week. Leaving SEO and going to play Alder will be a liberal education for a team that played no one and is unprepared to play a real playoff team. Athens , of course , was exposed tonite. Next , its Jackson's turn. The playoffs can be cruel.
