According to the huddle scoreboard, Johnstown Monroe is up 28 - 21 over Indian Valley at the end of third. Looking for a final on that game.

Ironton 21 - Amanda 14
Ironton 12-9, I wasn't to far off for two smashmouth teams but thought there would be a couple more touchdowns in this game.

Johnstown up,35-21 now
I am listening to it.
They are not playing all that well, but still have a 2 td lead.

Ironton will need to not have any TOs next week for a hope of advancing.

One turnover can be a big difference in a game. To overcome three is praactically a miracle. The defense stood tall and Amamda, for some reason, couldn't figure out a way to take advantage of it. When AC had a first and goal at the tow, my thought was to let them score and not burn up the clock. But Ironton held and they only got 3 and that proved to be the difference.tk421 wrote:Ironton will need to not have any TOs next week for a hope of advancing.

I agree, huge game from the D. The offense needs to work on not putting the D in that position next week.

I took the ten minute drive to the game tonight.
It was a game where the momentum swung back and forth. After the first posession for each team it looked to be a high scoring afare. Just goes to show you never can tell.
At times AC ran the ball well and at other times Ironton got so much penetration AC couldn't do anything. The TIger defense stepped up three times to limit AC to a field goal. At one point AC had the ball first and goal from the two and had to kick a field goal.
Overall I thought Ironton should have won by a bigger margin. Turnovers kept that from happening.
#5 laid a hit on an AC receiver late in the game and hurt his shoulder/collar bone. He toughed out the rest of the game but he was really favoring his right shoulder. Hope he is okay for next week.

The Tough schedule for Ironton paid off tonight with them over coming the turnovers only get's tougher after tonight.
Ironton needs to address the ball issues if they do that they can go far in the playoffs.
Great Job Ironton your D was great tonight

Good job Ironton! Maybe you should practice just a lil on your kicking game while also concentrating on holding onto the ball????? I'm hoping for you guys to go deep in the play offs! Good luck!

whew what a barnburner, and a huge crowd, we had more tiger fans than ac had at home.at least 1500 standing on ironton's side. first off great season for amanda clearcreek.and continued success with your program, would love to see these 2 play every year.
and to dem fighting tigers congratulations baby on a hard fought win. overcoming 3 turnovers just didn't seem possible , but it happened.i'm very proud of each of you , i sure hope nick culbertson is okay. i was hearing dislocated knee.
AND FINALLY HOW BOUT DEM TIGERS.

something i was curious about. didn't see any seats on the ironton side, so went over to the amanda side, where there were quite a few (about 45 mins before game) and after a few minutes a lady informs us we are in her reserved seats. no big deal, we went back over to ironton side and found seats. But my question is, are reserved seats allowed in playoff games ? I've never heard of that before. asked some of the ticket people afterward, one said no, one said yes.
