Re: North Adams vs. Piketon
It's a GREAT day to be a Streak!
Congratulations to North Adams. Coming back from a big deficit shows the collective heart of a champion. Nothing to hang your head about.
Streaks, Business is not yet finished. Much work left to do to prepare for Grandview. Don't let up.
eagles73, Where can we get tickets, and how much are they? Do 2nd graders need a ticket?

Smith had his mojo tonight, Brabson & Southworth tough as nails, Brush played great, Legg is an absoulute beast. Great minutes by Vulgamore and Helton. You played with the heart of a warrior tonight boys...
Coach Lisath, Legg and clan you did an excellent job tonight.
This is from ONE PROUD REDSTREAK!!!!!!
SHL coaches better think twice before you blackball a kid who should be 1st team all district...
Were you at the game? Smith played a nice game but 2/3rds of his points were off of layups where Legg broke the weak press and hit him on the block for a layup. He didnt make tough shots all night - his poinst came from layups and foul shots. It would take a lot more than just the few coaches from the SHL to keep Smith off of the 1st team!
So what are you saying layups should only count as 1 pt... He took the ball to the hole all night long scored 34 points... When you do that in the regional semi vs. the #1 team talk to me...
Re: North Adams vs. Piketon
Very good game. Congratulations to the Redstreaks and best of luck as you move forward.
Very proud of the North Adams team and the way they fought back in this game. Kraig Unger showed why he is the district player of the year and showed a tremendous amount of heart. You young men represented your school and community well and should be very proud of the season you had. Your fans certainly are. Best of luck to the seniors, you will certainly be missed.

Sorry spark, he can shoot on the D1 level, but somebody better teach him to play defense. The ole dribble by me and try to flick it from behind doesn't work against better players. Legg went right by him all night and penetrated the paint and dished for easy lay ups. I personally cannot believe that Coach Young didn't get in his face and challenge him to keep him in front of him. Instead they put #10 on him. Theirs more to this game than offense. But he sure does have the stroke! As good as anyone in high school!

Mikepike, tickets are on sale at the high school and middle school. $6 presale, and school aged children are the same. 5 and under are free. Lets Go Streaks!
Re: North Adams vs. Piketon
I was really impressed with both teams and coaches. Legg is beginning to remind me (not yet, but coming) of another Redstreak (via Beaver) that could break the defense down off the dribble and find open teammates...Eric Caudill. Legg, even when you think he's a bit out of control, that head is up and he's going to find somebody or hurt you himself...what a sophomore! Somebody mentioned that "all Cody Smith did was make layups..." That's like saying all Cris Carter did was catch touchdowns. That kid took it to the hole with authority (they all did). Here's one Waverly Tiger that was very proud to be a Pike Countian last night...go Streaks!!!
Re: North Adams vs. Piketon
Zane Trace (55-44) and Huntington (55-45) both beat Piketon by keeping the score down and playing half court.
Grandview seems to play the same way, but I will be surprised if Piketon doesn't win. I think that they are going to Columbus.
