Lucky for me, I'm a Steeler fan. So I have some consolation come football season.

Why get on a Reds thread then? By the choices of all your favorite teams...I would guess your the type that will have new ones every couple of years....Maybe you could move to Boston.

Reds are starting to look better.

I wish Hernandez and Gonzalez would start hitting.

How about that throw by Hanigan!

I can see the Reds finishing a little above .500 this season.

The Reds are playing pretty good baseball right now. Lets hope they can keep it up.
I would love to see hairston quite swinging every time tavaris attemps a steal though.
The D is playing pretty well and the bullpen is outstanding.

Your guess would be wrong. I've been a Browns fan since the '60's. I still like the Reds but they just can't seem to get anything right anymore and it's a little discouraging. Why do I stay with the Browns? They're my first love; just can't leave 'em. As for Boston, it is a fantastic city. You should visit it if you can get out of Uhia.

You say you could not take anymore of the Reds. What happens if the Celts and Red Sox struggle a few years?Unlikely...but what if?Then you will be crawling back to the Reds band wagon. We will forgive you though because Lord knows we need all the attendance we can get  I see alot of people coming back around if our Pitching Staff stays healthy and Bruce,Votto,Phillips, and Dickerson continue to improve! I give us 2 years and we will be a contender and believe we have an outside shot at a wild card this season.I think Walt Jockety was the best hire we have made in years. It will all come together.Like I said all the Reds fans will be back!!! I for one have been through it all losing, winning it does not matter.I am a Red Leg for life!

GO REDS!!!!

Well said beaverlover. I have been to Boston, in fact I was in that area last year while they were playing the Rays in the playoffs. It is a nice place, but that is not going to make me jump to another team. I'll admit I was pulling for the RedSox in '04, but only because I despise the frickin yankees and will pull for the underdog.

yankees and cubs

The Reds were just bound and determined they weren't going to win last night. Haven't swept a road series since 2007! Ownings' off-speed stuff wasn't working last night and the strike zone that the ump was using seemed to be about 6 inches wide.
Oh well. . . on to Houston to play another struggling team. I believe it will be Oswalt v. Cueto tomorrow? Oswalt is 23-1 against the Reds. . . .

The Reds get by a nearly-perfect Oswalt thanks to Ramon Hernandez's 2-run shot in the 9th. I would have liked to have seen Cueto go deeper into the game, but he was just flat-out missing his spots.
The Reds are 3-1 on the road so far this year! That's a good sign considering the fact they were 19 below .500 on the road last year. . .

GO REDS!!!!!!!!!!

Micah Owings is definitely proving to be a better hitter than a pitcher, thus far. His 2-run double in the 7th gives the Reds the needed cushion to pull out a 4-2 win in game three. Gotta like being 4-2 so far on the longest road stretch of the season!

GO REDS!!!
