The Reds have several players that need to be addressed:
1. Edwin Encarnacion - hitting .129 and has a fielding pct of .929, and guess what he made an error yesterday. They should trade him for a bag of sunflower seeds or something useful.
2. Alex Gonzalez - gets hurt way too much. They should just cut him
3. Bronson Arroyo - way too inconsistent
4. Mike Lincoln - wlaks twice as many people as he strikes out and loves to blow leads.
5. Jay Bruce - has homerun potential but can hit his weight
6. Willy taveras - a leadoff hitter with an OBP of less than .300 come on!!!
My solutions
Convert Owings into a third baseman
Get rid of Gonzalez, Encarnacion, Lincoln and taveras
Work with Bruce
Start Dickerson in center, nix in Left, Bruce in Right (and Gomes wherever needed)
Hairston at short.

They should have kept Keppinger and booted Gonzo out the door. Edwin sucks and it shows. Now that he hits like a pitcher no one will want him, So I got an idea. They could trade him for some equipment.
They need a better Batting coach as well.

Dusty needs to sit Bruce for a couple of games!!!!
Also Taveras had a great game. He got caught stealing and misplayed a ball in center that let a CATCHER get a triple! Come on! He's horrible!!

OOH..I said it a month ago. Until baseball restructures so that the 70's Reds are again POSSIBLE, I remain a cynic. I remember watching the Reds as a kid in the 70's and thinking this is the way baseball always will be. (Of course, that applies to a lot of things I thought in the 70's)
