I think the scores are wrong.. lots of mistakes in scoring. boys and girls. was a good meet except for that.
girls 800 is all messed up. didnt post any of the scores after a couple field events. and didnt announce
who placed where after running events. i hope they get this fixed before the district meet.

Congrats to Logan on a strong Boys winning performance. I am proud of my Cavaliers for their third place finish inspite of losing the points Mr. Curt Smith would have been bought home. Good luck to all these kids at the District Meet and beyond for some of them.

GO CAVS!

Marietta was hurt with not scoring in about six events today which lead to the wider score between 1st and 2nd [boys]

Right off I don't think they scored in the 100,4x100,4x200. Pv.200,shot put and there might have been one more.

Thanks noreply66. I wondered what happened. I thought they would be much closer to Logan.

I was at the SEOAL meet today in Logan.

After announcement of the girls team scores, and after the teams had left, they discovered the mistakes in the girls 800m run. They have since corrected those results and thus the girls team scores have changed. Myself and colleague Craig Dunn from the Logan Daily News watched them correct everything on the girls 800m run in the press box after the meet.

Here are the CORRECTED girls team scores:

1. Gallia Academy 149

2. Marietta 116.5

3. Logan 109.33

4. Chillicothe 69.83

5. Zanesville 63

6. Warren 53.50

7. Jackson 50.33

8. Portsmouth 26

9. Ironton 21.50

Munfield from Marietta was injured in the 100 finals. Therefore unable to run in 4x1 (Marietta had to scratch) and 200 which he was seeded first for finals. Marietta's 4x200 team also had an injury during the run. Not a good day for Marietta in sprints which they could have score some points. They could have won the meet if these injuries did not take place.

If you take the places that they could have had Marietta would still have come up short. Logan had two people in the 200 that would have made up for the 10 that Munfield could have had. Munfield was well behind in the 100 when he went down. Logan would have finished a head of then in both 4x100 and 4x200. Logan was getting two people in most of the events to one for Marietta and sometime two when Marietta didn't get in the scoring at all. In Marietta strong events Logan was picking up points.
