Good job Piketon, you just met a quicker team that was running 9 and 10 players in and out of the game all day. Everyone sitting around me from around the state a few rows behind the bench at midcourt were rooting for Piketon in that 3rd quarter when they started a mini comeback and I could see the frustration from the coaches and the players as they came in and out of the game in the fourth quarter when it was all but decided. They didn't quit and left it all on the court and I would like to congratulate them for an outstanding year and I enjoyed watching you play in the districts, regionals and state. Only 4 teams make it to State and you were one of them, congratulations !!!!!

Great job Streaks...you gave great effort! Sometimes, you just run into a team that's a little better. I was very impressed with Cleveland CC...scary quick hands, disciplined, great at changing the tempo of the game, pound the glass, athletic....I'm almost sure you got beat by the state champs. Even in the last minute of the game, Piketon was scrapping and clawing...impressive. Congratulations on a great season, and for raising the bar in Pike County.

I watched the first half on the internet and I agree, it was well-officiated. However, the boys from 100.1 didn't think so. They said it was the worst officiated game they'd ever seen and talked about how Piketon couldn't buy a call and how ridiculous it was.

Congratulations to the Red Streaks on an excellent season. Yes, the final game wasn't what we were wanting, but 24-3 and State Semi-Finalist is nothing to be ashamed of.

Central Catholic was the better team yeasterday. Quickness to spare, and the defense never let up. I disagreed with several calls (some that were made, and some that weren't) but I don't think the end result would have been any different had things gone as I saw them. I thought that if the Streaks could have gotten the lead down to single digits that the game would be on, but CC didn't panic and continued to make the shots. My hat off to them.

To the Red Streak seniors: You all have worked hard these last few years to raise the bar for Piketon basketball, and hopefully those coming back and those coming in see what hard work and teamwork can achieve, and work to go beyond what you all have accomplished. You will be missed, but certainly not forgotten. GO STREAKS!

First, I'd like to say congratulations to the players of Piketon. It is always difficult to lose, and it is tough especially when you have set your goals set on the main prize! I am SO PROUD of you for the dedication, representation, and leadership on the court and in our community. Right now, your minds can't comprehend what you've accomplished...the right way! For eternity, you have changed hearts and minds...you've made unbelievers into believers...you've given hope to those even on their deathbeds!!! God has been with you and has strengthened you the whole season, and never one time did you forget to give him ALL the praise...not even on the big stage at halfcourt!!! You are Champions!!! (in more ways than one)
