Junior High Baseball

How is everyones Jr. High baseball coming along? For West the season starts this Saturday against Portsmouth. Any thoughts on who the condenders will be? West has enough kids to field both a 7th and 8th grade team, I hope these numbers continue thru high school.

Ironton 8th grade scrimmaged Russell Ky. this past Tuesday. They played 4 innings with the final score 8-2. Of the 14 Ironton players present for the game, 12 had at least one hit in the game. The Tigers had three pitchers in the game and they all did a nice job. They were supposed to scrimmage a Huntington team this past Thursday, but it was a rain out. The 7th grade starts the regular season this Tuesday at home. The 8th grade starts this coming Saturday.

Both Burg teams look good this year. I have seen 8th grade play and they look sharp!
