I remember a Burger Chef in Zanesville but that is about it. Borden Burger was the BEST!!!!

Hey, before it was Borden Burger, the Logan one was a BBF. Could that be what you"re thinking about?

Knotty Pine was one of the original car hop restaurants around the area. Hang the tray on your car window, root beer float and onion rings. Lost in the fifties tonight! (Sorry Ronny).

Yeah, that was years ago. My favorite's were the Town House in Portsmouth, BBF and Burger Chef. Also the fries at Dreamland pool. Jim's Dairyland in the Burg.

When I was a little thing, I used to go with my dad on his early morning mail run.

We would stop at Mom's Restaurant in Ironton to have breakfast after the mail run.

Those are great memories for me. I miss my dad and Mom's too.

I really miss "Mom's Resturant" on the corner of 4th and Park Ave. Great biscuts & gravy and their plate luches were great. I use to eat there when I worked at "Manns Market". Manns Market was another great family owned market. Lots of good produce. Really enjoyed working there in the summer while I was going to College...Miss the good ol' days!!! :122247

Yeah, I spent the entire night in the Russell Hills, once. From closing time to opening time. On overtime. Best part was the overtime and sleepin the next day.

Also visited most of the other Hills on occasion.

I remember this:
I think there was only 2 of them. One in Minford the other in Oak Hill
The one in Minford was built onto (enlarged) and operated for a long time but is now closed. The Oak Hill one was enlarged and turned into a Pizza joint that is still in business. They were the brain child of a guy on Swauger Valley. They were prefabed in a barn on Swauger Valley and were a franchise deal that didn't catch on--BAD FOOD (the Minford one was)
If they were in Portsmouth and Burg where were they at?

The one in the Burg was in the neighborhood of where the closed Bob Evans is now. On that side of the street anyway.

Thought there was one in PTown on the Trail out around where Mickey D's is now. Wonder if Callie would remember? Her last name has changed but to the best of my knowledge she is still around Ptown.

I didn't remember Oak Hill but did 'member Minford.

I think the buildings were only about 8X8 or close. And the burgers were about the size of a silver dollar.

I miss Thelma's Dairy Bar that used to be in Sedgewick Meadows where I grew up.

It was very busy but after Thelma sold it, because she retired, it went downhill and eventually closed.

I miss Stone's my Mom and Dad would bring us for a steak dinner everynow and then. My mouth would water when those steaks came out. I can still hear the sound of those sizzling plates!
