Valley purple 6 ND 3 . Valley purple is a tough team when they get good pitching. ND had one of those "Oh no" innings . it happens .

ND actually hosted Burg today. Played 2. ND 6 or 7 -0 in game one. ND 3 Burg 1 in game 2. I think ND is somewhere around 8-1-1 so far . Thanks for giving West's scores , wish someone would keep everyone updated on Minford and SW. MD

ND at Clay is still on today (Tues) at 5pm. MD

ND 10 Clay 3 Hats off to clay for preparing the field on a wet deary day . MD

We will be working on ND's field tommorrow to try to get ready for west but ND's field does not drain well. Any chance one of the west side fields that have brick dust available ?? PM me if SSU's or the HS field is open . Or call Joey . MD

west -nd game cancelled til saturday. the hs team had a game scheduled at 5pm that the jr high team was unaware of. so conflict with the field . :oops:

ND 9 West 1 in game 1 , West 1 Minford 0 in game 2 , ND 6 Minford 1 in game 3 . Should get some tourney info out soon. Will have to contact all coaches to make sure their team wants in. Been a good league . Tons of good pitchers ! West has Rideout and Welsh --both are really good, Ironton's # 1 is tough. Minford has Griffith and Conkel (sp?) , Valley has a nice 7th grader , and will be even tougher when Harr is back from injury. And ND's Pauley was super all spring for us.

Dan will there be a junior high tourney at the end of the regular season and if so where will it be and also what teams would be eligible to enter? I think it would be great to have a nice tourney at a location centralized for all schools but would hopefully not interfere with rec. league.AHH just a thought.

ron--jr high tourney is being discussed --Darryl said meeting thurs night at 8pm at ND cafeteria to draw for the tourney , BUT not confirmed yet --there are soo many schools that might not want in that were supposed to part of the league. Some schools fought thru the bad weather and played a full schedule --and some did'nt--at least if they did I never heard any scores for them --Some did'nt quite have the experience to compete. And might not want any more games --lots of variables.

Did Valley 7th grade play any ? I know Raceland played once or twice --heard next to nothing about oak hill and coal grove. Heard nothing about NW in the last 3 weeks .

Heres a brief summary :
West was really good, lost once to ND on a day where everything went wrong for them . They have not 1 but 2 strong # 1 type pitchers.

Ironton was dang good led by a dominate pitcher. They lost once I believe to West in a very low scoring game that was scoreless for several innings.

ND lost twice , to Ironton and Valley 8th grade. Tied Minford 1st game of the year .

Valley 8th grade is strong . several travel baller's. 7th grade pitcher throws well. Would be tough in the tourney.

Minford has 2 good pitchers also. They did'nt lose too many games.

SW is young and capable of hanging with about everyone.
Burg has a solid team also.

hopefully everyone was happy with the league. I think the ND team got in 12-13 games , maybe 14 .
