Oak Hill Oaks 2009-2010

Post by ProtecThisHouse »

So the Oaks are state champions! Will they come back and do it again next year? Who's all coming back and who's all graduating?

I think they lose JD Hale and Ryan Borden and the Cannon boy.

I look for it to come down to Burg, Valley and Oak Hill agin next year.

They lose some valuable players next year. They return some key players for next year. It will all depend on who steps up for them off the JV team. They didn't play very deep during their tournament run. So not much experience will be stepping into the missed positions. Also, I believe I heard they return to D 3 next year. This itself will make repeating an almost impossible task. Not that it can't be done, but highly unlikely. With the talent in D 3 in SE ohio they may not make it out of sectionals or districts.

enjoy the season you had this year and next year will be here soon enough. Question is, will Persin be roaming the sidelines or will he go out with this monumental win??

I have a little insight into these speculations. Coach Persin will be at Oak Hill at least 2 more years, maybe more.

That's good.

I've talked to Norm and he said the only thing that might drive him into an earlier retirement would be if one of the assistant coaches kepted texting friends while the team was trying to practice.

Otherwise, Norm will remain very cordial and exciting. ;-)

St. Norman of Portland shall reign with cordiality for at least 2 more seasons, if Kentucky does not call first.

I bet one of those assistants is ready to head to the fishing hole, that's probably what he has been texting about during practice.

Congrats to my friends Norm, Jim & Mike!

Does Larry the Legend want him? Might be a chilly reception from the other players.

Next year the SOC 2 will be more balanced then I can ever recall. A lot of young teams this past year.

I honestly look for it to play out this way.

1. Valley (Return a big nucleus of their team and they will be fun to watch.)

2. Wheelersburg (Return all five starters including one of the best players in the league)

3. Oak Hill ( Return 3 out of 5 starters but lose the MVP) Ondrera is pretty solid but they will need to find some lane cloggers.

4. Northwest (Return some valuable players)

5. South Webster (Return a lot of young players)

6. Minford (Not sure about this team. Lost some key seniors and will have new leadership)

7. Waverly (????????)

8. West (Well they are West)???????

4-7 can easily flip flop and I am sure there will be a surprise or two somewhere along the season.

It all depends on how well Norm replaces his depleted troops.

I have heard that St. Norman will be bringing 2 in from VC, 1 from Wellston and 2 from Jackson to reload. Very Exciting!

Waverly should be very solid next year, along with the top 4 Regulator mentioned.

Waverly has a lot of work to do - coach robertson will have them very busy this summer- but next year the league is loaded again. Oak Hill to Div. III will not be an easy ride especially with the transfers Wheelersburg seems to be getting and Valley should be very good.

Hank Leslie from Northwest and some say Bendolf from Portsmouth. But, I hear the Leslie transfer is going to happen.
