Manchester Greyounds (2009-2010)
Thoughts?
I know they lose to starters, but they have some talent coming. I could see them being a lot better than they were last year.

Hounds-
I look for Manchester to once again be at the top of the SHL. I see them and Peebles battling for the whole league. They return some key players and have a great young group coming up. With what the Southeast Div. 4 district lost to coaching and seniors, look for them to make a deep tourney run. This is my prediction almost a year away!

They better step up the defensive effort, because last years was an open gate to the rim.

Out of Bounds you need to apply for the Xavier job since you know so much about basketball. All you do is get on here and bad mouth Manchester so why don't you just stay off of there post.

Sorry to hurt you're wittle feelings there Hound. I see a lot of what I think is you're crap on the Preps as well. Just call it like I saw it. Manchester ran some nice offensive sets last year with some nice players. I just never saw them sit down and guard anybody. I believe they under achieved. Just my opinion, and the last time I checked that is what this site is about, to debate basketball.

I think if they would have had a point guard they would have been a lot better, but from what I saw they should have a good one this year with the Ricketts kid.
Re: Manchester Greyounds (2009-2010)
I don't think point guard was the issue this past season for the Greyhounds. I have to agree with Out of Bounds that defense was their main problem. They were talented, had good size, and could score but they had a lot of trouble stopping people in the games I saw them play.
Re: Manchester Greyounds (2009-2010)
The Hounds sat down and played "D" at times this year and other times I think the players just wanted to outscore their opponents. They were over all slow in my opinion and against teams with good guards, they struggled. Look for them to be completely different next year, considering they are losing their size. Someone that was at the baseball tournament in Manchester last weekend said that the Blevins boy has gotten taller. How tall is he now?

Hey Houndsare4Real....rip these guy a new one. They are bashing your teams defense!!
Just kidding. I hope coach Palmer makes defense a point of emphasis this summer. I think with the talent they have lost, and the returning talent Peebles has, I don't think they are going to score as much or as easily as they did last year. So defense will hopefully help make up that differential.

I think Manchester will be better this coming year than they was last year. I like how people always say its the coaches fault on here, but I would say that none of you has ever coached before. I don't see anyone on here saying that coach Dave didn't do a good job when our boys didn't play that good of Def against Piketon.

I said it on another post. I couldn't believe that a certain player for NA let the guard go by him time after time and tried to flick from behind and Coach Young never appeared to say a word. It's also very hard to say anything when the only game they lose is the regional semi final! That's a huge difference than Ripley almost beating the Hounds at home and not playing any defense at all! Like I said they under achieved IMO.

I don't know, but I saw it advertised on the OHSAA website along with athletic director and girl's varsity basketball coach.
