Chillicothe 2009 opinions

Post by cavs09 »

Who has them? Tell me what you think? I know we can compete its just filling all the seniors spots. Wide reciver isnt a big concern with deion collins and marty dunn and some of the underclassmen ready to step up. And the line isnt too big of a deal. A little undersized but depending on how a certain George Beverly does this offseason it wont be to big of a problem. Tyler Holz as a leader on the line will keep them in check and we could surprise some people. Shay Netter obviously there on defence to help. So it could be a good year

Good luck. Replacing last years senior class will be a hard task.

I have heard rumblings about that possibility but I don't believe he is even attending workouts and doubt he will actually play next year. One contender I have heard is Donte Thompson. The kid is an athlete as many of you know from seeing him on the basketball court. I wish he would have played the last couple of years though.

I would have to honestly say the qb spot is a problem for chilli. As far as Donte is concerned great athlete!! Bad news is,he has a bad knee that has never healed right from tearing his acl his freshman year. His mother said during basketball season that he has some torn cartlidge and really should'nt have been playing at that time.
My only hope is that he is healthy and will stick with it this year. I had heard Shay Netter was throwing the ball out at the field the other day and has a heck of arm on him. I was also informed he played qb middle school and his freshman year. I know he's one heck of a lb for chilli and also a senior this year. The only thing I know about the Demick kid is he hasn't played football since pee-wee. IMO, if the Netter kid has an arm like people are saying why in the world would Coach D not use him? You can have great receivers but if you don't have a qb that can throw the ball your in for along season!! You can run the ball but not all the time you've got to have an arm to mix it up and make those big plays. I only hope the staff figures it out before the season starts.

Hey Ravens has Michael Turner been in the fieldhouse. I heard that rumor and did not know if there was any truth to it. The Cav's will surprise some folks. What is the word on Neon Deon? Is he ready to step up? I'll see you at the games.

If it is the same information that I have heard, and it is true by the way, then yes. It will most certainly be big news for TWO of our sports teams next year. For obvious reasons, I wont post it on here.

If it is true Mr.Turner never played football any ways so he was not part of the program. As far as the roundball that's another forum. The situation for the Cavaliers is finding a QB for this up coming football season,if not look out.Why didn't the coaching staff have a young kid for a back up QB for last season, instead of using a senior???? it never made any sense to me. I guess you can put the blame on the head coach on this one.I wish this years Cavaliers good luck.

Lost a lot of talent, but they have been a pretty deep program the last few years. I expect them to be very competitive.

Netter will be one of the top defensive players, and IMO, the defense will win Chilli some games. Biggest question mark, IMO, is offense. Pass? Run? Who throws, catches, and runs with the football?

But I DO think the defense will be solid.

I think its pretty obvious that you want a young backup QB. There is no way that an experienced stafff wouldnt have been grooming a replacement if they could have. I think there were simply just no underclassmen with the tools to be an effective QB. That is why most of the candidates for QB are people who may come out this year but have not played recently. Most were QBs in middle school, freshman team, pee wee, etc.

ok so we have no seen turner or donte for idk how long in the field house...and we did have a underclassmen qb but the coaches dont like him cause hes scared of contact and doesnt make many good decisions..he has a nice arm and is fast but he runs backwards alot and doesnt step up in the pocket...the coaching staff is trying. Corey Demick and two other underclassmen are working. Our qb situation will be worked out..i just hope donte comes out from hiding

I really don't care who the QB is as long the coaching staff makes a good decision on it.If the QB is not working out at and early stage in the game, that they would replace him.I would hate to see this team go down hill. This team has a good chance of making it back to the playoffs in 2009.It's about winning or having a losing season, what does the coaching staff want?????

I'm from Sheridan (coach at Lex in a different sport) and I watched both the varsity and JV games against the Generals last year. Chilli has some nice athletes but I saw little in the JV game to suggest they have a replacement for Knights. I wish we were playing you again this season. Chilli has some nice athletes.
