We will see how this year goes. The future is bright in Wellston with talent coming up. Just depends on the decisions made?

Most people in Wellston support him. he is currently coaching baseball and they are having a very good year and the kids play extremely hard for him. These are basically the same kids he has in basketball.

Speaking from an outside of Wellston voice, are there any outside recruits on the baseball team?

Flash G -You are from VC now - you graduated from Wellston in 78 and have lived in Vinton for a while. You do not speak for Wellston and neither does your little vigilanty group on here. Keep your nose out of our business. By the way in my opininon Phil Jackson would have had a hard time winning with the talent Wellston has had the last 4 years you are talking about. Our coaches can win with talent and actually our teams have played very hard over the last 4 years. Thats just my opininon. Its easy to win with talent like VC has had. Wellston used to kick the s*** out of VC reguarly when they had players and they will eventually do it again.

sorry, it is my understanding that logan hired the previous athens boys(not girls) coach that was fired. logan also hired a former trimble coach that had resigned.

...1987chieftain - I don't think Coach Myers is going anywhere ... the Chiefs were a few 1 point games from having a very good season this past season ... McNeal is out at Athens and has been reported by some as coming to Logan in some capacity ...

... 1987 - I don't know Mr. McNeal so his character is up in the air, his coaching I've seen or more the results of his coaching I've seen, the product of his coaching I've seen - not impressed ... "havoc ball" only beats inferior teams (the first time around) ... the SEOAL showed what "havoc ball" gets you vs better opponents 1-20 ... somewhere along the line fundamentals have to be implemented/taught ... didn't show me in his 2 years with the Bulldogs that his teams developed fundamentally or had been taught fundamentals at either end of the floor ... and now apparently he will bring THIS expertise to the Logan bench - not impressed with the addition IF in fact the "rumblings" are true ...

Well if it is true, (and I've also heard it is) I wonder if the head coach will let the assistant teach his havoc ball with a few banana cuts thrown in there. Or maybe his go to play, "let the other team score and then we can have the ball back."

;-) ;-) ;-) ;-)   :122245 :122245 :122245 :122245
