Looks pretty good. Really looking forward to Logan's matchup with Fairfield Union in Jim's Gym on Friday.

... I'm looking to stay at the top of the Elite 8 this coming week before Christmas ... the Pfloyd 2016-17 Tour will be on the road and staying at home this week here in the Hocking Hills :

Monday 12/19 ... Logan vs Heath or Fairfield Union vs Sheridan
Tuesday 12/20 ...Warren @ Marietta
Wednesday 12/21 ... Fairfield Union @ Hamilton Twp
Thursday 12/22 ... Logan Elm @ Bloom Carroll
Friday 12/23 ...... Logan Elm vs Miami Trace or Logan vs Fairfield Union

Tuesday 12/27 ... Fairfield Union @ Unioto or Logan Elm @ Athens
Thursday 12/29 ... Pike County Holiday Tournament Eastern Pike vs Western Pike & Waverly vs Piketon all in Waverly
Friday 12/30 ... Logan Elm @ Chillicothe

... all tentative BUT this week looks solid to me ... both Logan Elm & Marietta looking to dent the Elite 8 while FU has some BIG matchups this week ! - vs Sheridan with Sectional implications , @ Logan who is looking to move up the rankings, a battle of the top 8 with FU @ Unioto next Tuesday night ... great Cheap Seat games as a fan !!! the weather is cooperating too Life is Good !!!

The drive to Athens is much shorter than the drive to Chillicothe.

Just wanted to point that out.

Still not giving those Oaks much love after a win over a highly touted Waverly team and only bumping them up one spot. Not sure about a 2-3 Chillicothe team justifying a #17 rank. Oak Hill is leading a solid SOC 2 division and the only team in the top 20 with a 5-0 record. This is the same Oak Hill team that everyone forgets was only beaten by 4 in a post season game last year in Jackson against the #1 ranked Fairland team everyone is raving about this year.

Like I said before, Last year is last year and has nothing to do with this year. Don't get too ahead of yourself, look at your non-conference schedule. GARBAGE. Symmes Valley, Meigs, Green, Rock Hill, Coal Grove. Get thru Burg at Burg, Webster at Webster, and Waverly again and you might go 22-0 and get the #2 seed in the postseason. Good luck!

South Webster played at Notre Dame Wednesday, and defeated them pretty handedly. Final was 56-45, but the Jeeps were up 20 in the 4th before calling the dogs off.

South Webster is 4-2 after their win at Wheelersburg, Notre Dame is 4-1.

Looks good. Might have Gallia a few spots higher but know you value the good wins also and it will all sort out.

I like Chillicothe over OH but have to have OH a spot over Eastern Pike.

Definitely the strongest SOC 1 I can remember

No one in SEO plays anything close to Chillicothe's schedule. Their next game is against defending d1 state champ

Chillicothe could easily finish below .500 against that monster of a schedule, then win a District title and it wouldn't surprise me one bit. That schedule is insane and they are a very talented team.

Waterford (2-1) lost @ Portsmouth (1-1).

Portsmouth (1-1) lost @ Coal Grove (3-2).

Yet, Waterford is #7, Portsmouth is #23, and Coal Grove is #44.

Huh?

I might help with that one, Waterford was short handed and a little behind Portsmouth because of the football slate.........I feel the Trojans will improve as we roll along, some bad shooting has hurt us early, when and if some shots start to fall we shall see

Waterford lost in the playoffs in football on 11/19.

http://www.joeeitel.com/hsfoot/teams.js ... &year=2016

Portsmouth defeated Waterford on 12/10.

That is 21 days to prepare for Portsmouth.

Portsmouth used to have the same issues between basketball and baseball seasons in March during the 70's and 80's and we did fine.

I would buy that argument if there were key injuries with the Waterford players. Was this the case?

Anyone?

FU has a TOUGH 4 game stretch there where they could possibly even fall out of the top 8 if things don't go well. I'm still not sure why FU is playing at Logan again when they played there last year. It should have been home this time. We ll see how things pan out. I haven't seen them play yet but hear that they have been very inconsistent so far and are not very deep yet. Yet, 3-0 is a good start with a win over Watterson and Logan Elm, so what do I know?

I think Rock Hill has a win this year. Not sure who it was against. Maybe Rose Hill. Coach Gue does a great job and has the Redmen playing hard and will eventually turn that program around.

WHS definitely has a tough schedule as well.
1. Chillicothe
2. WHS
3. Everyone else not even close

Looks good. No complaints this week. Waverly with a huge matchup this week with South Webster at home! Would like to see western get a little more love after beating East at east and beating peebles last weekend. Thanks for all your hard work pfloyd!
