basketball wrote:My opinion is that it is wide open. This is a very weak and balanced league. Throw in the horrible referees in scioto county it is anybodys league.

Not all games are officiated by refs from scioto co. thanks to the assigner but I agree it is up for grabs but I favor SYMMES VALLEY BUT WOULD NOT COUNT OUT GREEN OR EAST

if green's parents, school board, and everybody involved in tha crap from last year would just let the coach do his job which is to lets see "COACH" green would do pretty good and if the players actually bond as a team they should do well :!: :!: :!: :!:

claypantherfan, i think scoreing will be our trouble to start the season. westerns defense is going to have to carry them the first half of the season thats for sure but in the second half of the season i look for some younger players to contribute to the varsity there is some nice tallent in spots in the sophmore class.and coach kight has a nak,for getting the most out of a kid .im not saying well win the league again but i think in the second half of the season were not going to be a cake walk either.

Cannibal, you must be on something or your list must be a joke?

Symmes Valley will be the favorite, with Eastern, Clay, and Green all having a shot!

Symmes Valley will have the most talented player but not team next season. they will win a lot of games but they dont have good enough playmakers to help tibbs.

I think the title will be between Green, Clay, and SV.
Green and Clay both had alot of young talent who got experince over the last year.
And SV just has the best player in the S.O.C.
How these three teams play each other will determine the S.O.C.

with a new coach at East it is hard telling where they will finish, alot depends on who they hire

Tartanblue,

Did they hire the JV coach from last season? If so, where do you put the Tartans next year?

from my understanding and from what I read in the paper the AD said nobody has been hired, the AD is also the JV coach...

If he is hired by the board as the head varsity coach then I expect them to play up tempo with the speed they will have. Personally I hope they go on a search for a coach and the best person out there be hired whether it is the JV coach from last year or someone from outside the system.

cbaseball33,

How has Clay been doing in the summer league that they are in? I know they played at Paint Valley on Monday, and I believe Western was also supposed to be there? Any clue how they did as those three teams are in the same sectional so it should have been a good indication as to where the teams currently stand.

It is only summer league kids are stung out on vacation ,working , western against paint vally and clay only had 3 varsity players there the guards were a freshman and sophmore but it is good experience for all the younger kids to play against older bigger kids.

In my opinion SV has many talented players that could help Tibbs out a lot. They have Payne, Bowling, Johnson, Ferris, Craft, and Taylor. They are all very talented ball players.
