The Athens JV traveled to Meigs for a rematch of last Friday's showdown on the diamond. Athens JV fell behind early in the bottom of the 1st giving Meigs a (5-0) lead at the start. After that, Meigs would only score 1 run the rest of the ball game. Athens would managed 2 runs in the contest, with one runner getting thrown out at the plate and over 7 runners left on base. Taylor picked up the complete game Win for Meigs JV as Casey Grimm suffered the loss. Grimm would only allow 3 Meigs JV batters to reach base from the 2nd to the end of the game. Meigs JV capitalized on a big 1st inning and it was a 'Key' factor in the Win for them tonight. Gonna be some 'Great TVC-OHIO' Varsity games between these boys in the future.

Fellas, you simply ask a person (A78) to use more positive reinforcement with his post and this is what you get.
Obviously somewhere down the line someone here at Athens wronged him because most his comments are negative...I wonder if he is this down on the Junior Legion since it's only Junior Legion?

What he doesn't realize or maybe lacks understanding is many of the player's parents cannot make it to every game. Some kids come from broken homes where they see both parents but live with one so the other parent doesn't get the chance to hear about the game. And lastly, there is no JV section in our local paper, so none of the junior varsity games will ever be seen in print. That is why I post my game statistics and summary for all of my games so everyone can stay updated of the FUTURE players of this league.

I appreciate all the positive post from you users and I'm sure my JV'guys will be tickled to death to know people out there do care about them. They bust there tails just like every other team/player no matter the competition level JV/Varsity...people have to remember players have to start somewhere...
