=(GAME TEN)=
Athens JV traveled to a wet and soggy Marietta to battle the Tiger JV. The Dogs scored 1 in the first to grab the (1-0) lead early but the Tiger JV responded with 2 in the bottom half to lead (2-1) after an inning of play. Athens would be held scoreless in the 2nd as the Tiger JV would get a comfortable lead grabbing 4 runs in the bottom to now lead (5-1). Both teams would be held to no runs in the 3rd. In the 4th, Jacob Schriner would send a double to left field scoring two Athens runners (Grimm & Noftz) as Athens would cut the Tiger JV's lead to (5-3). Athens Mitch Rider would hold the Tiger JV to no runs in the bottom half of the rainy inning. The DOGS would rally to get the score back to even (5-5) in the top of the 5th. The bottom of the 5th would see the Tiger JV again capturing another big run inning and another (4) run lead in the game. Neither team would score in the 6th. Athens JV would start the 7th off with a bang loading the bases with no outs. A sac fly would bring the JV Dogs (6th) run across with 1 out in the inning. Athens would see the next two batters set down as Marietta JV escapes the Rainfest Contest with a nice (9-6) victory...
