Fury27....Thank you for the score.

I have Belpre at 4-2 in the TVC-Ohio correct?

Wellston is now 5-2, Alexander 5-3 and Athens 4-5.

Which makes for a HUGE game between Wellston at Belpre on Tuesday.

Vinton County at 0-8 was the odd team out of the league rotation tonight.

All I need now is the Meigs-Nelsonville-York score which I "assume" Meigs won and would make them 8-1 and atop the TVC-Ohio. But you should never "assume" anything.

Fury27....Thanks for the info. Of course, the two key words of the spring ring true here: "weather permitting."

Could someone please help with a scoring issue......a batter reaches first on an error by the first baseman, and a runner scores from third as a result of the batter reaching on an error.....does the batter that reached on an error get credit for the RBI? If someone has any input on this, please let me know. Thanks for your help

Meigs did beat NY, but it was a very good game. The final score was 3-2.

NY is a much improved team over last year. Last year, NY did not win a single game and was blown out in many of those. This year, NY has a couple wins already and has had several close games in which they lost, but at least they haven't been blown out as many times as last year, so that is a tremendous improvement right there.

I hear the buckeyes are working on building a softball program.
In the next couple years they may be in the league running.

It is not a hit, but I think you get a RBI anyway.
Don't know without a doubt though.

Where's all the umps on here?

Belpre 2
Wellston 1

Great Game Lady Eagles!!!!! Weather permitting, Belpre at Meigs tomorrow and then Meigs at Belpre on Thursday.
Freshman pitcher struck out 6 of the first 7 batters she faced tonight....difference in this game, Belpre only had one error
vs the 7 (I think) last time they played Wellston. Good job..Keep up the good work!!

What has happened to the Spartans? Thought they could be contenders for the TVC title this year. Seems they are hitting the ball pretty well but not getting runs across the plate. Coaching or Kids lacking interest?

Belpre 0
Meigs 2

At Meigs, 0-0 going into the 6th inning, Belpre committed 1 error on 3 hits by Meigs.....all coming with 2 outs. Top of the 7th, lead off for Belpre get a double off the fence, and Belpre loads the bases with no outs. Next 3 batters....fly out to left.....back to pitcher.....and pop up to short.....

Meigs at Belpre tomorrow night

Congratulations to Coach Fife, his staff, and the Lady Marauders for their TVC Ohio championship.

They had some hard-fought close wins in the last week and deserve the crown!

coachperWHS.....I'll be up in VC on Thursday if the game gets played. Got softball, baseball and VC track meet all to do on Thursday weather permitting.

But if it doesn't, I'll try to stop by the school after school and get photos of the book from the Belpre game.

Also, when are you going to make the Vinton County game at home? The baseball played tonight, so said www. highschoolsports.net.

Thanks much.

keyser (president of the JSFC): we wanted to set it up for tonight along with the boy's game.

The weather does not look good for the game tomorrow night so we will be backed up another game in all probability.

We have Athens and Nelsonville-York make-ups next week...we had to cancel Northwest and Valley (two of my good coaching friends' teams) to make-up league games.

So to answer your question...I do not know.
