Re: West travels to Valley for round 2
I haven't posted in years on here but this post caught my eye.Doesn't anyone remember a few years back when on the west side the coach in baseball got whipped by a player and a coach. Then a few years later this player went back 2 west in his senior year and his daddy whipped the new coach.Wow that is classy.I've said it to many that in my opinion that west has, if not better, athletes than any other school. They just aren't discipline like most. That is not saying that the other schools don't have their own problems it's just that they keep most of it in house and not in public view.I've seen players and heard players say and do things that are absolutely embarrassing to everyone associated with the game. Then you look to see someone to direct them in the right way but they to are doing or saying it too(parents, fans, coaches). There are just somethings that are given in a sporting event that you JUST don't do and it does always seem west always does it.All the talent in the world to do more then they do just no class or guidance to do it.

Yeah, I remember that. I think the coach that was at West is back at West.
I did see where they lost to Webster 12-2 last night. I wonder how the West Attitudes were after losing this game. Just wondering, I hope nobody gets defensive, just wondering.

Re: West travels to Valley for round 2
west was frustrated with themselves durring the game. but they didnt let their emotions get the best of them, they carried themselves well taking the loss. they did self destruct a little on the field yelling at each other, but i could imagine it was a frustrating game for them, i would have been upset too after taking down burg then getting mercy ruled. but over all west was very respectfull twords everyone
Re: West travels to Valley for round 2
West is notorious for acting like idiots.....let's not pretend this is something new. Heck, I remember back in PEE WEE football, we would go to the West Side and beat the brakes off of them, and there was ALWAYS some one trying to start a fight. Including the coaches....
West did just become know for bad sportsmanship overnight...it's been a staple of the WEST SIDE for years. It's almost like they teach it over there, and it's sad because they have had some REALLY good athletes and teams come through there.

I did not call anyone any "names" I said "Acting like idiots". Big difference there. I want to say the year was either 1992-93 or 1993-94 I played Pee Wee at East(both years), scored 3 TD's in a runaway, and I remember being tripped, and etc. West accused us of "running up the score", tried fighting our coaches. It was a train wreck. The game was played over at the old school that was torn down. Across form the lil giovannis where they kept all the buses.

Furthermore; I am not going to get into an argument, but people were acting like it was a brand new thing to have a West team show poor sportsmanship. It DOES happen at other schools, and I've been guilty of it MYSELF (I didnt shake hands after a loss one game my senior year) but like I said, it's a REGULAR occurance over there. You can only hope it changes, because they have great facilities and good kids..

Sorry, We figured that you meant valley came and played pee wee at west, and
knew that didn't happen. East still has a competitive pee wee program in the
league. And yes it does happen everywhere, not just on the west side. Also,
when you type "acting like idiots" about kids what response do you expect.
