I don't care who started it. St. Norman wins with class and does not sweat the juvenile stuff!

Transfers will never stop until the OHSAA steps in and cracks down on it harder. I would not be against seeing all transfers, whether a move in or open enrollment is ineligible for 1 year, no matter what.

Come on now!
Re: I think I speak for all Oaks fans when I say this....
It would be fair because it would be across the board!! All districts would have to abide by it. No loopholes like they have now.

Would your proposed rule apply to kids whose parents move in from out of state?
What about a kid who didn't play sports in ninth grade, family moves over the summer and he's/she's at a new school for 10th grade and they want to play?
I'm not sure you can close all the "loopholes."
JMO ...

Re: I think I speak for all Oaks fans when I say this....
Shouldn't a group of kids growing up together and playing together be better anyway given they have the ability and talent to equal the competition? Hey if kids can come together in a year and excell then they are better, get over it. Systems recruit and respected coaches are few and far between these days. If kids can maintain mentally when switching schools, they will only benefit in the future from it. Leave it alone and live with it, it has gone on for decades, problem is, like everything else, we are far behind in the times in our sector of the state. I still say that a group of kids that grew up playing together will beat a melting pot team thrown together if they truely are good enough. Great players are just that because they work harder at skills than others, it's not all pure ability. "The most improtant game of the year is practice" John Wooden
