University of Findlay. He certainly could have gone to a larger school, but in talking with his Dad, this school was a great fit for him. Pretty amazing for a college freshman. With additional training and coaching, it is hard to tell how high he can go. What is amazing is that he didn't start high jumping until his Jr. year in high school.........

Vales is really coming on strong now. I saw him at a meet a couple weeks ago and he only went 6'6.

I was afraid he might be losing his touch.

He made it to regionals his sophmore year...
