i'm not trying to degrade what st joe has done this season, i am just saying what i think. and i didnt say anything about south webster being the team to knock them out of the tourney. trimble has as good a team as webster and i am sure if trimble is the beter team on the day they play south webster that they are plenty capable of pulling out the "upset" against st. joe.

again, not trying to start a feud, just stating my opinion...you have yours, i have mine. i havent been able to see st. joe play a single game this year, but i have seen scores and stats and i just dont think that they have what it takes to pull out victories against teams who have played and beat beter competition than st. joe has faced this season.

good luck in the tourney though no matter how long the run lasts, st joe has put together an imressive win loss record this season and on paper based on wins and losses earned the #1 ranking. no one can take that away.

You all can debate who's who and who beat who and by how much all season long. Just settle it on the field and be done with it.

I myself made the comment about the schedule that St Joe's play, an if they was in the SOC II they would be below 500. That is why they should take strength of schedule in to concideration on the seeding an ranking in the tournament draw an in ap polls. At least someone in this part of the STATE is get'n some attention from the northern half of the state. An again Congrat's on the # 1 ranking in DIV an Good luck in the Tournament.

How many teams in the SOC II have less than 30 boys in the high school?

This is not comparing apples to apples. True facts are that St Joe has played several SOC I teams and is undefeated against them.

Comparing them to Burg, Valley, Waverly, Minford, etc. is not a fair statement. Yes they could possibly be under .500 if they played in that league, but they dont, there is no comparison to schedules.

The question should be; How many SOC I or II teams are private schools? Small numbers for private schools could be intentional like in the larger cities like Columbus, Cleveland...? I do not think this is the case for St. Joe! I believe they are where their at because of thier ability to play good baseball. I am impressed reguardless of size or type of school and wish them good luck during the tournament. The way I see it, anyone can beat anyone on any given night! All area schools are tough when thier ace is on the mound and when he's not they are vulnerable!

Please except my apology if it touched you in the wrong way, that was not my intention at all.South webster isn't a big school and they compete. All I was trying to say is strength of schedule should mean alot.It doesn't matter how many students are in that school it's all about quality.I said congrats to Joe but I just,in my opinion, feel they aren't deserving of the #1 in state ranking. Why is that a bad statement.I do apologize though if my statement ticked anyone off.I never downgraded anyone. It's been a great season so far for Joe and best of luck the rest of the way.

Good points.

Last night St Joe beat DIII Coal Grove (seeded in the top half of their DIII bracket) in 5 innings. Mercy rule.

Too bad there are not DI teams around here for them to schedule ;-)

Just kidding of course.

Put lots of salt and pepper on that crow before you eat it. I have eaten my share of servings on here over the years and it will make it go down just a touch easier ;-)

It was a great game. Both pitchers brought their "A" game. The score was a little too close for me but 1-0 or 11-0 a win is a win. The Flyers need to get the sticks going. Smart move by Coach Bryant bringing a "Golden Domer" with him to beat ND."Schwabie is a beast". GO FLYERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

i agree dutch both pitchers were on their game. The Flyers just kept chuggging along till they made something happen. Just have to takem one at a time. the bats will get hot again.
