Got to say Northwest is one much improved baseball team. Congrats to the new coach and the kids on getting this program headed back in the right direction. I was impressed with their all around competitiveness. I can see why they've suprised some teams this season. Good luck the rest of the way Mohawks!

The Cavaliers are south division champions!!!
Chillicothe took care of Portsmouth tonight with a lopsided 12-1 division clinching victory to secure themselves a spot in the SEOAL Championship game next Wednesday night. Derrick Webb (3-1) pitched all 5 innings for the Cavs tonight striking out 6 batters and allowing only 2 hits in route to picking up his third victory of the season.
At the plate, Alex Grow, Josh Sulzer, Marty Dunn, Zach Glendening and Danny Russell all had multiple hits while the Cavs' bats continued to stay hot.
The Cavs are now 14-7 overall and a perfect 9-0 in the SEOAL. They'll travel to Gallipolis tomorrow.
