Re: Week 9 Portsmouth @ Logan
Go Portsmouth....slightly more points for Jackson with Portsmouth (only 1 point but every point counts)....and it would be 5.5 points we got that Athens didn't....so in terms of passing Athens in computer points it would help Jackson 6.5 points.

Re: Week 9 Portsmouth @ Logan
Another game that the Trojans can win IF they minimize mistakes (turnovers, penalties).......something that has been very elusive for PHS in 2011.
I will be there to cheer on the Men of Troy!! GO TROJANS!!

if we can keep from shooting urselfs in the foot. we play ok in the 1st half of the alder game. then the old habits came back. i did see something i havent seen yet. coach wolfe giving a player the "what for" on the side lines. thats what i like to see.

Logan
8/26 A Lancaster (3-5) [1:3] L 13-35
9/2 H Pickerington North (6-2) [1:3] L 14-42
9/9 A Reynoldsburg (6-2) [1:3] L 6-30
9/16 H Jackson (8-0) [3:12] L 32-49
9/23 A Nelsonville-York (8-0) [5:19] L 6-42
9/30 A Gallia Academy (5-3) [3:12] W 14-3
10/7 H Warren (4-4) [2:7] L 34-40 2 ot
10/14 H Jonathan Alder (8-0) [3:12] L 0-42
Portsmouth
8/27 A Wilmington (6-2) [2:8] L 24-27 ot
9/2 H Portsmouth West (7-1) [5:19] L 13-26
9/9 H Wheelersburg (7-1) [5:19] L 19-28
9/16 A Warren (4-4) [2:7] L 21-51
9/23 H Chillicothe (2-6) [2:7] W 31-24 ot
9/30 A Jackson (8-0) [3:12] L 6-56
10/8 H Cincinnati College Prep (1-6) [6:0] W 46-6
10/14 H Gallia Academy (5-3) [3:12] L 7-10
Going by the schedules, Logan has played a lot tougher schedule than the Trojans. Logan has only played one school below DIII and that was 8-0 Nelsonville which is one of the best DV schools in our area and probably the state. Of course, they have lost to everyone except DIII Gallia.
The Trojans on the other hand have played 2 DV schools, losing to both, and a DVI that they waxed by 40 points.
Warren destroyed the Trojans by 30 points.
Logan took Warren to OT before losing by 6 points.
Jackson beat the Trojans by 50 points.
Logan played a respectable game and only lost 49-32 to the Ironmen.
Logan beat Gallia at Gallia by the score of 14-3 for their only win.
Portsmouth lost to Gallia at home 10-7.
And with all that said I still don't have a freakin' clue who will win this game. I would hope the Trojans win since the Burg can use all the computer points they can get, but my gut says I will probably go with Logan in the Pickems.

I am pulling for the Trojans, but I think the brutal schedule Logan has played will have them ready to win this game.
