Game is at Athens Ironman92 ... The Bulldogs are 11-3 at home over the last three years ... The 3 losses were to Nelsonville-York (2009), Warren (2008) and Gallia Academy (2008) ... But Athens is undefeated at home since the tornado hit last fall (7-0).

ATHENS TEAM STATS ARE UPLOADED AFTER WEEK 8: http://trivalleyconference.com/Athens.html

If the Germano kid starts I think they would be a great match for NY. Luckily for us, that won't happen and NY will win by at least 2 touchdowns.

My son, Joshua Skinner has a level 3 shoulder separation. It happened on the next to last possession of the first half. That is on a scale of 1 to 6 with 6 being the worst. Not sure at this point what that means in terms of his return, will know more after we see the specialist.

Athens loses this game only if the entire team gets suspended for some reason...they wont sleep on Wellston. Expect to see the Bulldog's 2nd stringers pretty early.

Throwing shoulder (a.k.a Josh's shooting arm) Coach Skinner? Or was it his left ... Very sorry to hear he was injured that badly - we were hoping that he was taken out just to be cautious during the win over Alex.

Great kid (on and off the field/court) I definitly hope he heels quickly and is not bothered by it anymore this year.

Uh, Germano's season stats are 1-3-0-0 yards and 0 TD's. I definitly have not seen enough of him to make any remarks resembling your statement ButterFingers ... You don't want to throw a sophomore kid, who has completed only 1 pass all year, into a game versus a team like Nelsonville-York ... Skinner, on the other hand, played well in a big game versus Alexander last season ... He led Athens to a win over a solid Gallia Academy team this year, has helped the Bulldogs earn wins over Warren, Coal Grove, Chillicothe and is undefeated in 2011 as the starting QB ... Germano has looked good running the ball late in games - and looked good versus Alexander when he played the 2nd half already with a 28-point lead ... Starting a game versus 1st stringers - or - facing a defense like the Buckeyes possess is a completely different story.

I've seen this reported also, I mean on a more personal note. How severe was the break, hopefully the young man suffered more of a mild break with short recovery needed as opposed to something that may need surgery etc.
Bad enough too have surgery, really don't much more but I've heard also that he will not be running track. Best of luck jay!!! Joey young will start for the rockets more of a passer than a runner, this game is for pride!!!

Everyone who has been beaten by Athens this year will tell you they have more than Devon, most teams have tried to key on Sharp as they should only to be burned by many other players.

It is his left shoulder - which is the bright spot in the whole scenario. Thanks for the kind words.

Not taking anything away from the Skinner kid. Seems like a great kid and I know it definitely takes more than ability to play that QB role. However, the Germano boy is much more of a threat for NY. Doesn't matter much though. NY is loaded.

Butter "NUT"

Do us all a favor and move on to other ways of entertaining yourself. Your last three post have completely no relevance to the topic and "ANYONE" who spends time on this site knows that your post are meant to belittle players coaches and programs... These types of post are what gives a site such as this a bad name..

Shame on you..

Athens is pretty loaded too ButterFingers ... Versus 3 TVC-Ohio teams (only common opponents) Athens and NY are pretty even in every category.

Offense: Athens has gained 1,143 yards and scored 136 points versus Ohio opponents.
Offense: Nelsonville-York - 1,061 yards and scored 130 points.

Defense: Athens has given up 480 total yards and have allowed only 16 points to be scored on them by Ohio opponents.
Defense: Nelsonville-York - 498 total yards allowed and have only given up 14 points by TVC-Ohio opponents.

Ive seen them both play every game this year: They are both loaded and dead even IMO.

Skinner provides more then passing. He has lead this team at QB since pee wee. Lately he has been running the option, plus some designed runs. Not sure how Germano would be a bigger threat. He hasn't thrown passes during varisty time when its counted. He hasn't had that pressure of varsity lineman running him down. Skinner will play against NY. Maybe sit out this week, but he will be ready for NY. He's a senior, to much riding on that game. Plus Sharp will run a lot of the wild dog.

93BD- Butt nut, likes to get ppl talking crap. He is not a true Buckeye. Plz disregard his statements.
The true Buckeye fans know Alex and Athens will not be easy games. They will take one at a time.
This week Alex. Athens next week. They know it will not be easy stopping Sharp and company.
But i'm sure they will put a good game plan together. Sharp will be the best back they have seen
so far. Should be a great game.
