Track fans might want to watch Walsh girl from Marietta. Ithink she is a long jumper and runs the 100. Also heard she is an excellent catcher on the Middle School softball team.Tiger fans wish her and all Tigers the best at the SEOAL.bRING HOME THE GOLD!
Re: SEOAL League Meet
At a meet at Athens last mouth it looked like Marietta had two girls that were good in the 100m

Walsh is a great runner, and all around athlete from what i've seen and heard. I also heard Logan put a runner in the 800 who hadn't ran before and won, so Logan may change things around a little bit for the meet to put some talent where they have tried different runners. Marietta girls are still undefeated last time i checked results. Also heard Marietta boys lost a few runners since early in the season.

Wow, thats surprising. I think that if this girl were to focus on track, she could easily be one of the best girl track runners in the state here in a few years. She has an incredible amount of talent in track, better that alot of guys... i think it would be great to see here focus on track.
Re: SEOAL League Meet
I think the boys side could be very interesting. With a mistake here and there it could be a big surprize.

Doughboy, You sound like a typical coach recruiting for your sport. Too many people want to get in young athletes heads heads and steer them a certain direction.Havent seen her run track or hit a ball. Just heard she has lots of ability.

The girls title seems to be Marietta's too lose and has been that way for them all year it looks like. Logan will have to make a few mistakes too have a serious threat in my opinion and that will come from Marietta. I don't see Chilli, Zanesville nor Warren making a serious run for the title. Also the weather forecast i've seen is looking like there will be rain and bad weather in the area during the time of the meet, Logan has way better field event participants than Marietta which makes you think that Logan would have an upperhand if the meet were to play out like it did last year.

I am writing in an honest unbiased opinion. I am also a fan of softball, its one of my personal favorite sports to play with family and friends. However this is a track and field topic and I wanted to state my opinion. I've never seen this girl run, but times do not lie and she is producing times and lengths that are incredible. I would love to see a girl with such obvious potential in track to focus on track.
Re: SEOAL League Meet
Marietta girls and Logan boys! Chilli has a girl to match the Marietta in 100,400, and 200! Should be fun to watch! Chilli and Gallia have nice shot and discus athletes too!

Re: SEOAL League Meet
Marietta just had a meet with 3 teams in attendance, Marietta, Zanesville and Caldwell. Marietta won the meet, beating Zanesville in the majority of the meet in the boys. In the girls, Marietta continued their winning streak. Weather still looking bad, if the weather weren't to workout, does anyone know what would be done to make up the meet?

Wouldn't the track that the Jr. High uses be in use very soon afterward with high school track.

Re: SEOAL League Meet
Logan Boys are the new SEOAL champs after a great performance. Marietta Girls are also the champs for 3 years in a row.
Great run for Marietta boys to have the title for two years straight and on a year when talent seemed way down to go to league and finish 3rd behind to great teams is astounding. Cogswell, Chalfant will make great athletes at the next level.
Logan was just full of talent this year and it will be exciting to see them group up again with the current freshman in a few years and battle Marietta again.
Meet was ran great, heard thunder once or twice early on but the weather stayed okay enough to run and finally got to be actually good running weather. Hope the meet goes somewhere else but this year the meet was ran much better from a spectators view that it was last year.
