My heart is with Notre Dame in this one, but my brain just keeps telling me that the Titans just don't match up well enough physically with the Vikings. I'll be rooting for coach Ashley and his Titans, but I think it's going to take a near flawless effort on their part and a few mistakes by the Vikings. Anything is possible.
Good luck Titans!!

Very true, unfortunately, the level of competition hasn't been close. The Vikings played a stronger non-league schedule. I just hope I'm wrong, and the Titans pull out the win and claim at least a share of the SOC I title.photo_electric_guy wrote:Some simple numbers...

Re: Week 9: Notre Dame (7-1) at Symmes Valley (7-1)
Southern (2-6) we scrimmaged them early in the year and come out on top
River Valley (1-7) None of the scores here have been that close
Chesapeake (6-2) enough said here they are good
Manchester (0-8) Getting their program together
Northwest (3-5) we play them away and lost in the last 15 seconds should have been a win for ND
Their other non conference game will be the last game of the year and I believe that South Gallia will give them a good game.
State rankings points show how close the teams are (0.1809 difference). I’m not saying that ND will win because of the numbers but this should be a better game than a lot of people want to believe. IMO this game will be won or lost be 3 points.

I hope you're right!! I'll be pulling for Bob and his kids.

If ND shows up to play when they get off the bus, and have a great week of practice, this will be a great game! It's been many years since ND has been in this position, I hope the Titans can pull it off. Anything can happen.

photo_electric_guy probably knows more about this than me but I beleive he had a slight injury and the coaches decided to save him for this week.

ND will have to play near flawless ball. SV is big strong and experienced. Hopefully we play very well and SV makes a mistake or two. MD

Even I don't know. He seems fine to me but I'm no MD. My guess is that he will be just fine by game time on Friday. :12223

This is going to be a hard-fought, old-school football game....it will be a defensive battle IMO. haven't seen SV play this year but they are always big and strong (not sure what they are fed out there). The parents and ND are very fired up for this game. Pulling for a Titan victory!

Re: Week 9: Notre Dame (7-1) at Symmes Valley (7-1)
Once again, I beleive this game sill start off great, but Viking's will pull away in the second half. ND has a great team and I wish them well. Vikings 36 ND 14.
Re: Week 9: Notre Dame (7-1) at Symmes Valley (7-1)
I've watched both teams play, I think nd has the best back field, the line go's too sv, if nd can stop making so many mistakes, they can win with their speed, and the passing of their qb. no1 is one of the best all around football players i,ve seen all year. if they don't stop shooting theirselves in the foot every time they make a good play, sv will beat them pretty bad.

Vikings are on a mission
Phase 1 - Win the SOC I outright.
GO VIKINGS!!

You would think that there would be a little more chatter about the SOC 1 Championship game than this!!
