Southeastern 2009 Junior High Boys Shootout

The Southeastern Boys Junior High basketball program would like to invite you to play in the Southeastern 2009 Junior High Shootout sponsored by the Athletic Booster Club. Each team playing at least four games, three in pool play and a single elimination tournament.

Man I wish you guys would change the date on this to the folllowing weekend, then I would bring two teams. Because we are going to Piketon July 11th. Just something to think about.

How teams do you have in now? Any word of any change to the date?

Pool play will start at 9:00 AM and the day will finish up with the single elimination tournament with the championship game set to start at 7:00 PM. Seventh grade will play on July 11th and eighth grade will play on July 12th.

The Southeastern Athletic Department did an excellent job of running the 8th grade boys Shoot-Out. The facilities were great and each team played 5-6 games.

Wheelersburg won beating southeastern in the final

After Wheelersburg lost to Chillicothe by a point in their opening game, the Burg got better as the tournament went on. It would have been interesting to see those schools play in the championship game, but Southeastern beat Chillicothe in the semi's. I believe the score of the championship game was Burg 47 SE 26.

The Burg should have a pretty good 8th grade team. Very interested in seeing how the other schools in the conference have improved.
