Best Pitchers to Come Out of SE District

Post by MTSWNGRVSG »

List some of the best pitchers to have come out of the Southeastern Ohio District over the years. This could be an interesting list. I can already think of several that have pitched at the Major League level.

Jake Hale- Alexander

Currently the closer for Ohio State...

0.95 ERA
11 Saves
38 IP
4 ER
49 K's
13 BB
22 Hits
Opponent B.A. .163

I think his Big Ten ERA is like 0.58. He's currently nominated for the nations top relief pitcher award. I think it's called the Stopper award or something. He's really got his stuff together and has pitched very well.

What about Andy Heimbach, I think Mt Vernon and maybe got drafted by the Red Sox. I played against him , he was pretty tough.

Bozo- You should throw up Davis' numbers from his 2002 season that were posted on the huddle. Unreal.

The Heimbach/Sampson combo back in '96 was lethal. Then, Boomer Hutchinson was better than most teams' #1 guy.

Tim Bolander (87), Matt Miller (92), Bryan Hatfield (95) were some other good arms that came from the Burg.
