Any thoughts on this match up?

How about directions to the Waverly field?

take 32 west to 23 North to Waverly
Turn left at Cardos Pizza. Go to the stop sign turn Left.
School is on the right.
Run into school complex.
Go past the HS follow signs to field.

This will be a challenge for Warren, no doubt. I have never seen Waverly play so I can't make any assumption on how good they are or aren't. They have a great record so I'm sure they know how to play the game. Warren is not as bad as their record indicates and they have some top notch ball players. 3 of the losses have come to Zanesville, who is loaded with talent. Warren played the Blue Devils tough into the late innings. 2 other losses were to Marietta with Evan Brockmeier on the hill. Evan carried a so-so Marietta team last year into the Districts. If Warren's pitcher does what he has all season (painting the corners) and the Warriors play great D (most of the games they have) this could be a close ball game. And in close ball games anything can happen. Warren's bats must come to life though.

Good luck to both teams on a clean, injury free game.

Robertson goes the distance for the Tigers, pitching all 7 while striking out 14.

Robertson and Martin each with a HR.

Tigers looked good tonight, now lets lock up the SOC tomorrow!

Congrats to Waverly on pulling out the victory. They are a solid ball club and swing the bat well. Warren had many chances to put the pressure on the Tigers, stranding 2 runners in each of the first 5 innings and a total of 11 for the game. Baseball is a game of inches and everything seemed to go Waverly's way all night. Waverly's left fielder made a great running catch at the fence to end the 2nd inning that easily could have put Warren up 2-1.
Warren has been behind the 8 ball all season for some reason. Goodluck to the 9 seniors.

Good to hear that Robertson went the distance. Akron coach was suppose to be there to watch him throw tonight, sounds like he put on a show with a home run too. Hopefully Ryan can get signed somewhere soon to play at the next level. Good luck!

This obviously wasnt the same Warren club that we have grown a custom to seeing in the past but give them credit, they played hard and never quit fighting!
Congrats and best wishes to Spence, Murphy, Heiss, Johnson, Petit and the rest of the seniors. They helped lead Warren to a lot of wins the past 3 seasons.

Somebody from Akron was there. I figured to watch Ryan pitch but I wasn't 100% sure about it.
The Tigers looked awful good if they play like they did last night they will be a tough out no matter who they go up against.
Congrats to Coach Noble and the Tigers
