Minford and Peebles met toward the latter stages of the season with Peebles getting a 1-0 victory over the Lady Falcons, but I feel Minford will pick up a win the second-time around.

I would say Minford will come out on top in this one. They played Unioto to a tie at the end of the regular season and almost a win, quite an acomplishment and a sign that they are ready for tournament play. I would guess Minford 3 to 1 and a sure bet that anyone who takes the field will come off it very muddy!!!

Some of minfords starters were out for part of that game. Not sure if they will be playing at full strength but I think they can definitely advance after tomorrow

As TribeManiac10 as already posted, Peebles defeated Minford this evening to advance to district play Tuesday 10-25 at 5pm vs. the Lynchburg Clay/Alexander winner.
The Lady Falcons took little time in opening the scoring as with around 4:00 into the game, Minford broke containment and put the first score on the board. However, aggressive ball control by the Lady Indians notted the score at 1-1.
Still unclear what caused a penalty shot for Peebles, but a nice kick broke the 1-1 tie. The second half was a see saw battle as both teams was able to press the opposing defenses, but no shots made into the net and the game ended.
Minford finishes the season at 6-7-3 and also the Lady Falcons six seniors wrap up their high school soccer careers this evening as well.
