Most of ND's schedule is not posted on the coach's web-site, making comparison tough between ND and Waterford.

The Wildcats are a young solid volleyball team which, with the exception of Eastern, had their way in the TVC-Hocking this year with their other two losses to Warren, the SEOAL champ, and a tight one to Marietta, each in a tournament match. A comparison can be seen through Symmes Valley and South Gallia. SG beat SV in three lop-sided sets, ND took four to defeat them; SG won 1 of 7 sets this year with Waterford.

From what I can see, likely tainted by being in the TVC camp, Notre Dame will need their best match of the season to threaten Waterford in the district semi.

thanks for some opinions, I didn't think we would be anywhere close to being considered a favorite.

No, but you can't win if you don't play. Good Luck.

Ironman92 is correct. While you asked how they matched up, you still have to play and the individual players and teams still have to perform. As we all know...anything can happen...and sometimes does...

I know i'm visiting the past and the sport was hoops but 2 weeks before ND beat Eastern in tourney play last year Eastern was beating us 32-4 at the half ON OUR HOME FLOOR . So yes anything can happen, and sometimes does.

It was indeed a great win for the Tigers last night! Their battle vs Athens on Saturday should be a good one.

Thus far, they are the only SOC team to move on to the district finals as the SOC2 is now 10-6 in tourney play.

South Webster plays tonight in Jackson vs South Gallia and Beaver Eastern plays Clay following the SW match.

Good Luck to the Jeeps tonight!

Exciting win last night by Waverly against Washington Court House. I wasn't sure how they would respond after being down two games to one. No quit in those Tigers!

What a crowd! The string of car lights along Higby Road at 11:00 o'clock at night was neat.

Side note: Carly Laswell for Court House was impressive. What an athlete! Her father actually graduated from Waverly in 1975 and played guard for the Tigers. Waverly was ranked number one in the state that year. Some of the older folks will remember.

Yes, Pete Laswell to all Waverly folks who know him. Carly is quite an athlete, didn't get it from her dad, lol. She has been named all district in volleyball this year, is very good at basketball (although I don't think she's playing this year - trying swimming), and a great trackster.

Also, Congrats to Brooklynn Scott for getting her 1000th career kill in the first game tonight vs South Gallia. And, thanks to everyone who helped keep it secret from Brooke-----when Coach Claxon called time-out tonight at 21 all in game 1, Brooke thought they were in trouble!

3rd straight year that South Webster has knocked out South Gallia in the tournament. South Gallia played us much better this year than last year and are a classy bunch of people.
