those 2 teams that lost to ny in 07 were beat with an enelagable freshman, FRESHMAN THATS SOMETHING TO BRAG ABOUT
Re: Nelsonville-York fans I Just Heard something at work that
I don't think he was bragging, just stating a fact. The games were overturned. Coach Boston is ultimately responsible as Athletic Director; even though some were quick to place blame other places. But, NY took their medicine and moved on.
Wonder if others will ever show that kind of integrity?

buckeyeguy....Rumpus was right. I wasn't bragging about anything. I was simply stating fact that those two N-Y wins were overturned and the official record was changed from 6-4 to 4-6 for that season.
If it makes you feel any better, and to keep you from suffering a stroke or a heart attack, let's put it down as this:
2007: 4-6* (two victories were forfeited following the season, thus changing the official record from 6-4 to 4-6).
Hope that clears that up for you.

This is what I've heard...
The superintendent met with the football team and told them that he and the board have decided to move the football program in a different direction.
Also, it sounded as if a good portion of the players are unhappy.

And if the story is true, how could Nelsonville compete pay wise with Olentangy?

Well, as the rumor goes...
He is from NY. His relatives are still around. A family member is not well. He wants back in the area.
Is the above true? I have no idea.

Orestes.....If that is true, and if wining 5 of 6 league titles and making the playoffs 5 of 6 years requires "moving the football program in a different direction", then I would hate to see what not winning 5 of 6 league titles and not making the playoffs on a regular basis means.

What style of football does Ed prefer.......will we see some smashmouth football or will we see more of an aerial assault? Anyone familiar enough will Olentangy to know their style under Ed?

Here is a youtube video of Olentangy defeating Westerville South. There is no sound, but at least you can get a good feel for the tempo of the game.

The money they raised was for facilities, not paying employees, that is a different monster altogether.

Ed is from Nelsonville. Someone mentioned that he has a sick family member and he wants to move closer to home to be near that family member. Also, being from Nelsonville, perhaps it has been a longtime dream of his to return to his roots to coach the school that he attended.
Those are two things that you cannot put a price on. To go from Olentangy to Nelsonville-York, clearly he is not doing it for the money.

Unhappy - YES...But when asked if anyone was not playing next year ,because of this...Not one player raised his hand! Those who love to play football and love being a Buckeye will play no matter what.
BTW , didnt Ed retire at the end of last season?
