and from what i hear the guys are pumped for this season and im still getting word ed is taking over
Re: Nelsonville-York fans I Just Heard something at work that
Okay, so I am wondering if anything is official since the NYBE has not voted on not renewing Boston's contract. It is my understanding that there is a BOE meeting Monday night and the board will vote and either make it official or renew the contract.
Here is one more question that I have. We have a name floating around from out of the blue about who the next coach will be, right? This name was announced the very day that Davey was "fired" from the head coaching position. How on earth was NY so lucky to line up a coach that had retired the prior year from a Columbus school on the very same day. Now I was born at night but not last night, this had to be lined up many months ago.
I would also question why this wasn't announced before track season since any of the kids that might have wanted to transfer would have had to do this to be eligible to play at another school before track season started. Strangely, it was announced on the day regular season was wrapping up.
It has been stated on here that Davey got what he deserved, get the facts before you make a statement like that. The paper says NY just wanted to head in a different direction. I am guessing that direction is not much different than the winning direction we were already headed in.
I would encourage anyone interested attend the BOE meeting Monday night. I am sure much of the meeting will be held in a private session though any vote would have to take place in a public setting and I would assume with public comment.

BUCKFAN84, WHO REMOVED YOUR BLINDERS? It seems that you can see things for what they are!!!!
I talked with a school board member and he said that there is a school board meeting monday at 5pm I asked him where, because the room that they usually use is rather small, and he told me "I WOULD ASSUME AT THE SCHOOL" A teacher in this same district was charged with posession of an illegal substance and last I heard he is still employeed there!! So whatever COACH DID IT MUST REALLY REALLY REALLY BE BAD RIGHT???!!!
WELL MY WHOLE FAMILY WILL BE AT THIS MEETING AS I WANT MY CHILDREN TO WITNESS THIS.. I WANT THEM TO SEE THINGS FOR WHAT THEY ARE .......
I WOULD ALSO LIKE TO ASK ANYONE FROM ANY SCHOOL DISTRICT THAT THIS MAN HAS TOUCHED IN A POSITIVE WAY TO ALSO ATTEND HE DESERVES OUR SUPPORT!!!!!!!

that was my oppinion when i heard something that was siad , i found out it wasnt true and i corrected. the kids r all still playing and all will be cleared after monday what happin so we will see then. i dont know why an ast coach whould lie about that im surprised.
Re: Nelsonville-York fans I Just Heard something at work that
YES AND I AM EQUALLY SUPRISED THAT YOU STILL HOLD THE POSITION THAT YOU DO!!!!!!
Re: Nelsonville-York fans I Just Heard something at work that
i am gonna tell my actual feelings on this and if i offend anyone i am sorry. coach boston was and is a hell of a football coach it is in his blood. now the other side of the paper the option based offense is going on the wayside as of late and it is getting replaced with more of a wide open high octane type of play. yes it takes a hell of a program to win with it which n-y is but when u go to play anybody in the state who has played n-y in the last forty years they know what to expect and you can see where they do get shut down. it was time for a change i wish that boston would still be the coach and change his playing style but it will never happen cause he has proved that he can win with it. but the biggest problem in it all is no playoff victories since 1998 and that is a killer and i see where fans are getting tired of no playoff wins so if this is the change that it takes it sucks and i wish him the best.
Re: Nelsonville-York fans I Just Heard something at work that
i thought we were all supporters of n-y athletics and teach our children to get along and respect others but all i see here are n-y fans turning on eachother this is sad. everybody is allowed to voice there opinion freely. so if your an n-y fan and you support the athletes drop the crap it is getting rediculous.

Re: Nelsonville-York fans I Just Heard something at work that
YEA LET'S TAKE AWAY A MANS LIVELYHOOD BECAUSE HE DIDN'T WIN PLAYOFFS...
IT'S TOO LATE FOR ANYONE IN HIGH SCHOOL TO TRANSFER THIS YEAR AND STILL PLAY......
HOWEVER THOSE ATHELETES IN THE 8TH GRADE CAN STILL TRANSFER WITHOUT PENALTY AS THEY HAVE NOT ESTABLISHED ELIGIBILITY YET

Regardless of how this turns out, I don't see a true Buckeye transferring to any other school over something like this. Buckeye football is bigger than any one person. And I think Coach Boston would encourage everyone to keep playing for NY because he is a class act like that.
