Week 8 Gallipolis (4-3) at Portsmouth (2-5) Oct. 14

Last Friday GAHS received and scored after a 7+ minute drive. Looking for more of that this week.

Gallia has seen speed this year in Sharp from Athens and done a pretty good job of containing him also the licking heights entire team was quick we have seen some tough backs from ironton,our run defense is tough, our corners are speedy, and our safteys do make big hits I don't look for a blowout but if you guys are starting alot of underclassmen they are gonna get to meet a very hard hitting Blue Devil team

As Trojan FB Alum has pointed out, the Trojans do have some good skill players that can cause opponents trouble if our QB's have time to throw........in addition, I am very happy to see freshman Darion Robinson get some meaningful carries........this kid could really be special the next several years with his speed and acceleration.

Portsmouth's defense has played respectable at times, and with Gallia Academy not being a prolific offensive team, our D could end up with a good game vs. the Blue Devils.

The most important aspect for PHS I think is still turnovers........if the Trojans can play without giving the ball away and minimize penalties, they can win this game.........if they get sloppy in those two areas, then GAHS will win.

Well our offense is not prolific I agree we are not fancy we are very straight forward an with some very hard runners and no one has stopped our run game yet

I think this could be a trap game for GA if they don't come to play,Portsmouth has more speed that GA. With the Trojans seems you never know what team will appear.

Portsmouth has trouble with the power running game, and Gallia has trouble with speedy teams. Should be an interesting game.

So is WBYG going to have the Gallia Academy stream working this week? It's been down the last two weeks, while the Point Pleasant stream has worked just fine.

If Galia can run the ball well, Look out. The blue devil coaching staff always seems to have the edge in this game. The turnovers for this game will remain high if Galia has a good secondary. No wonder the turnover margin is so high, the trojans passing scheme is so predictable!!!!

Getting ready to head down 159 to 23. We just had a shower and are getting sun now. The wind has laid a lot, hope it stays that way. Go blue, play your ball control offense and win.

For one, I do not think the Trojans football team looks to come into someones home
and kick their rear ends..I would think that they would look for win if possible, but kicking
butt....No way....

10-7 Final. GAHS wins. A gutty performance by some wounded warriors in blue.
Hats off to #79. When you are a back up, you're one play away from being in the battle. #79 answered the call and showed us a great block on our only TD.

Congratulations to the Blue Devils on the win.........Brandon Taylor of GAHS is a very good football player, who not only made good yardage as a RB, but kicked the game winning field goal. Gallia Academy indeed has a stout defense.

Unfortunately the Trojans couldn't convert an early blocked punt into a score........PHS also had too many negative plays after having some decent field position to start drives........and a couple more turnovers didn't help either.

Keep fighting Trojans, all the way to the end of the season!!
