Congratulations to Ryan Robertson (Robo)
Just found out today that Ryan Robertson (Robo) got All State and All District honors. Congratulations Ryan we are proud of you and your accomplishments. Keep up the hard work and lets get some more strikeouts

Re: Congratulations to Ryan Robertson (Robo)
Congrats to Mr. Robertson. A solid ball player and well deserving indeed.
Re: Congratulations to Ryan Robertson (Robo)
All-State does not come out until the middle of June. After the State Tournament.
He was probably picked to play in the Mizuno All-Ohio game by the Southeast District.

Re: Congratulations to Ryan Robertson (Robo)
The southeast district baseball coaches voted today for all district and all state. Maybe it's not supposed to be known until the middle of June. Possibly a security leak!!!!!!
Re: Congratulations to Ryan Robertson (Robo)
He was voted to play in the Mizuno Series. The coaches poll All Ohio team is voted on by the Poll voters at the end of May and released in June.
However the Mizuno series is the highest honor for a high school baseball player, it basically is says you are one of the very best from your district.
Robinson from Waverly, Seth Dawes from Chillicothe, and Blake Bagshaw from Hillsboro were the three selected from D II Southeast District.
Congratulations to all.

soccerfix...Your suspicion is correct.
Nothing like a leak on SEOPS.
Congrats to the young man, but this information wasn't due to come out yet.

Rio Grande has offered a full ride. Will allow him to pitch and play full time if worthy.

Keyser_soze78--I was the one that posted the All State and All District. I have a very reliable contact for this information and was told it was alright to post. However, I did not say anything about the SOC II POY nor did I know about that. I would not have released it without being told it was okay.

Tigerfan31.....I hope whomever has the ENTIRE all-SE District list for all four divisions will release that to the media — soon— so the media can publish it in the various newspapers.
Re: Congratulations to Ryan Robertson (Robo)
I don't think that there is a problem making the list public.
It will be the SE District teams and the Mizuno Representatives from this district.
The voting for All-Ohio does not happen until the end of this week and it will be released after the State Tournament.

Congrats to Ryan, on all his awards, very well deserving. I do not know the young man personally, but wish him the best of luck in his future and hopefully he can further his baseball to the next level. From The White Family in the Burg!

Great post volsfan. I will see his parents tonight and let them know what you said.

Does anyone know how hard he throws? Now, I don't mean, "well he looks to be 83-85". I mean an actual reading off a gun. Not a guess. We all know how everyone thinks they know what high 80's looks like when they are actually 82. J/W...Congrats on all the awards though!!!!!!

I would say you are in the ball park on his speed but that is not what makes him effective. It is his offspeed stuff. His curveball gets nastier as the game wears on. So what he loses in velocity torward the end of the game, his breaking ball makes up for. Big thing is he can throw at least 3 pitches for strikes. IMO, I believe he is harder to hit the deeper the game gets because of his breaking ball.
