Re: WEEK 8: Wahama (6-0) @ South Gallia (5-1, 6-1)
I like the home team in this one as well. Rumor on the street is that Farmer Yoder, Willie, Dewey, and Shirley Cheatem signed up in July to referee this game. Also heard that a couple of out-of-towners are completing the officiating crew, Dirk "Yellow" Kerchief, and Bobby "The Braille" Boston, are being shipped in from Central Ohio to work this game...........
All kidding aside, this ought to be a dandy. Standing room only, I'm sure.
Best of luck to both teams, play hard and injury free.

Attention all South Gallia fans.........You may now officially begin discussing this game! I am guessing this will be the biggest crowd Mercerville has had for a football game! Should be very exciting. GO REBELS!

Wow! Huge night for the Rebels against Belpre.
Not a lot to be gained from this one as far as playoff points are concerned, but it's another win. According to the OHSAA rankings, SG was No. 3 in Region 23 heading into this game. Two wins out of the next three games should secure a home playoff game in MercerVegas.
It'll be tough sledding, though, with Wahama and Symmes Valley yet to come for SG. An away date at Waterford is sandwiched between the home games with the White Falcons and Vikings.
Go Rebs!!!!
What's on the south endzone menu for the Wahama game?

New Joe eitel had south gallia sitting in the 6 hole. This could have a huge impact on the playoffs for the rebels. Possiblily the difference in a home game week 11 or having to travel. Good luck rebels

There are big computer points on the line each of the next three weeks for the Rebels. Looking at Waterford schedule they should be 5-3 going into the SG game and SV will probably be 8-1. If Rebels can take 2 out of the next three I am guessing we could be looking at a home game but that is going to be a tall order. As for people picking Wahama "big", I think your wrong. South Gallia will be the most physical team that Wahama has face to date in the regular season. Not including scrimmages because the played a great NY team. Not saying SG will win but I think it will be a good game and if the Rebels don't turn the ball over they have a chance!

This game is the money ball for South Gallia as far as playoffs HUGE!

A good South Gallia team is just an average Wahama opponent.
Wahama wins easy. 42 - 12

I think Coach Peck will make sure the Rebels keep their emotions in check this game. This is more than likely the biggest game ever played on the field in Mercerville and will be the largest crowd ever to watch a game there.
I expect this game to be very physical with both defenses forcing a couple turnovers. Don't know which way to go on this one yet, I just hope its a good game.

That's why the game is played on the field and not on this website. Looking forward to an exciting atmosphere in little ol Mercerville.Fred G. Sanford wrote:Wahama yet to be tested should win by 30+.

Could be the difference between sitting at home week 11 or not. SV and Waterford aren't gimme games either.Runnin rebels wrote:New Joe eitel had south gallia sitting in the 6 hole. This one will be closer than people think. Wahama will be without 3 starters this week due to their role in a fight at school. Thats all I am saying.
