Is there something in the water in Mason during October that makes these kids want to fight? This has to be the third or fourth year in a row that someone has got on here before this game and said Wahama has multiple players suspended because of a fight in school.Titletown TVC wrote:This one will be closer than people think. Wahama will be without 3 starters this week due to their role in a fight at school. Thats all I am saying.

Come on monster. Haven't you figured it out yet? It's Mason Co., WV. The first week of October every year is the annual "Family Beat Down Week". With all the cuzins marrying cuzins and brothers marrying sisters over there, every kid in the school is related. Huge family fights this week of the year.

If SG wins this one the players confidence will be sky high and could win out to finish off the season, lose and it's hard to tell where it will go. Hopefully SG gets the win but if the Rebels don't there is no time to be down on themselves with the last three weeks of the season being the toughest leg of it.

I was thinking the exact same thing. I will believe it when I see who plays on Friday.mercerville monster wrote:Is there something in the water in Mason during October that makes these kids want to fight? So will I. Wahama missing the three players or having the three players doesn't make a difference as it will still be a battle for the Rebels come Friday night.I was thinking the exact same thing. I will believe it when I see who plays on Friday.

Looking at the region and running the numbers for the next three weeks, I have found that
1.) lose all 3 games they are out of playoffs
2.) win 1 of 3 road game in playoffs 7th or 8th seed (traveling to Symmes valley or Buckeye central)
3.) win 2 of 3 home game 3rd or 4th seed (depending on Symmes valley vs Norte dame game result)
4.) win all 3 looking at 1st or 2nd seed
I have ran a bunch of different combinations and I am hoping for one of the last to.. Not going to be easy but it is possible. It needs to start this week with wahama.

Looks about right to me. The way this region is going this year if SG beat either Wahama or Symmes Valley and lost the other two games they could still have a home game. Seems like everytime someone climbs to number one and two in this region, they quickly fall.Runnin rebels wrote:Looking at the region and running the numbers for the next three weeks, I have found that

Danville will likely lose to a 7-0 D4 Johnstown-Monroe Friday night and Buckeye Central will probably take another loss to another D4 team at 6-1 in Ontario. Neither one of those teams have an easy schedule to finish the year. Danville plays their biggest rival in East Knox the last game of the year. I remember in 2006 when SG played Danville and the last game of the year Danville beat a 4-5 East Knox team 3-0 in OT. People from Danville said that whole week you could throw the records out when those two played so I wouldn't be surprised to see an upset there.
Also, I REALLY don't wanna have to go all the way to Danville again!!!!!!!!

My prediction: My alma mater Wahama by 4 td's (S. Gallia has played no one yet, Symmes Valley game will be the only other possible blip on their record, will they make the playoff's at 7-3, ?????).

The last time I remember South Gallia beating any boys team from Wahama I believe was back in 1974-1975 when Mark Swain brought the Hannan Trace boys over and beat the basketball team. I know the wins have been few and far between in most male sports between them. We'll see friday night, Go Falcons !!!!!

wahama hasnt played anyone either, they prey on the weaker ohio teams that are competitive by wv standards...if wahama played a good ohio team there size like lucasville valley, wheelersburg,or nelsonville york they would lose by atleast 40

I agree, and if South Gallia played these teams, they would lose by 70 if they kept their starter's in so what's your point. (And by the way, Wahama is smaller than all the teams mentioned above).bluedevil wrote:wahama hasnt played anyone either, they prey on the weaker ohio teams that are competitive by wv standards...if wahama played a good ohio team there size like lucasville valley, wheelersburg,or nelsonville york they would lose by atleast 40

Off the top of my head in 2006 Basketball SG won by 25-30.FANOSPORTS wrote:The last time I remember South Gallia beating any boys team from Wahama I believe was back in 1974-1975 when Mark Swain brought the Hannan Trace boys over and beat the basketball team. Football is a different story as SG has never won and the closest they have came was losing by 18 in 2009.
