Wahama is considered DIV V in Ohio. Same size as the schools mentioned by bluedevil.I agree, and if South Gallia played these teams, they would lose by 70 if they kept their starter's in so what's your point. (And by the way, Wahama is smaller than all the teams mentioned above).

mercerville monster wrote:Danville will likely lose to a 7-0 D4 Johnstown-Monroe Friday night and Buckeye Central will probably take another loss to another D4 team at 6-1 in Ontario. Neither one of those teams have an easy schedule to finish the year. Danville plays their biggest rival in East Knox the last game of the year. I remember in 2006 when SG played Danville and the last game of the year Danville beat a 4-5 East Knox team 3-0 in OT. People from Danville said that whole week you could throw the records out when those two played so I wouldn't be surprised to see an upset there.
Also, I REALLY don't wanna have to go all the way to Danville again!!!!!!!!
Buckeye Central is 40 miles farther than Danville.

All I am concerned with is them making it to the playoffs, then I will travel to wherever they end up. All I know is that trip to Danville was long, boring, and very cold.Buckeye Central is 40 miles farther than Danville

If my numbers are right then yes a 7-3 south gallia will make playoffs. They would finish as the 7th or 8th seed and probably be heading to Danville. Buckeye or Symmes valley

Drew Pasteurs website has them at a #8 seed if they go 7-3. 8-2 they get a home game and are #3 and 9-1 would make them #1 in the region. If my numbers are right then yes a 7-3 south gallia will make playoffs. You have some memory problems because South Gallia beat Wahama last year in boys basketball.FANOSPORTS wrote:The last time I remember South Gallia beating any boys team from Wahama I believe was back in 1974-1975 when Mark Swain brought the Hannan Trace boys over and beat the basketball team. I know the wins have been few and far between in most male sports between them. We'll see friday night, Go Falcons !!!!!

They both played Trimble with Wahama winning 47-22 and SG losing 18-14.

good luck to South Gallia from Tomcatland....play with the same intensity you brought to Glouster and limit your mistakes and you have a shot!!!

On a side note, the contractor began placing the sod on the new field today and the press box was delivered to the school yesterday.

And if you think comparing scores is an indicator of anything, you really have no clue.Fred G. South Gallia has one loss and depends on who you talk to should have been a win but that is beside the point.
South Gallia is not a team to be over looked they are big and strong and if they stay focused they can win this game.
But they need to stay focused I am pulling for ya rebels bring in a big win.

Re: WEEK 8: Wahama (6-0) @ South Gallia (5-1, 6-1)
Rebels have to play penalty free and wrap when making the tackle or Wahama will run right through the tackle. The D is usually there to make the play and deliver big hits but sometimes they forget to wrap up to bring the back down but I am sure Coach Peck has went over this all week.
Just need to play smart and do their job and they will be in it to where a play or two can win the game. Seems like every game I have been to they have had a touchdown or long gain called back because of a hold or a block in the back. Hopefully this won't be the case come Friday night.
Personally I am interested in seeing the crowd for this one. All the home games have been full on the SG side but not many for the visitors. I'm sure Wahama will bring a big crowd and there will probably be quite a few standing for this one.

95% of people make their picks by comparing scores. If you think picking from your heart is an indicator you have no clue. How do you think teams get in the playoffs? By comparing what teams they have beat and giving them points for it. So you are the one who has no clue.
Re: WEEK 8: Wahama (6-0) @ South Gallia (5-1, 6-1)
Trimble played wahama close until the fourth I believe was up at one point at wahama... South gallia had a terrible game at Trimble ( IMO partially due to the refs) and had the lead in the fourth. So idk if scores will compare these teams... Should be a great game
Re: WEEK 8: Wahama (6-0) @ South Gallia (5-1, 6-1)
I hope everyone from Wahama thinks it will be an easy game including the team itself.

Re: WEEK 8: Wahama (6-0) @ South Gallia (5-1, 6-1)
This is our week:
1. A buddy of mine who works at a plant has confirmed Wahama will be weaker this week but it is injuries not suspension that has them limping through practice. Apparently the QB is having some issues with his health.
2. Peck has these guys primed to stop the single wing that wahama runs.
3. We at home baybee!
My pick:
South Gallia 33
Wahama 7

This game could be a program-maker for SG if the Rebels can win. Depleted or not, though, Cromley's crew presents a huge challenge.
I'm pulling for the MercerVegas bunch!!! Go Rebels!
