Yeah, if Alter loses to CJ, they would end up at 19.7 according to my numbers, leaving them 0.4000 ahead of Eaton, as you said.

Glad we're basically on the same page. Looks like we don't agree with Drew Pasteur on a few games, but we're not far off from what he has really.

I think this region really comes down to this week. if every thing runs true to form this week. Then i think everyone's projections will be just about right. but 7 of the top 10 teams in this region this week have at least a little road bump of a test. And the teams that fail it will either be out or really be up against it. I think it will play out about 50/50. most teams will pass there test but there will be a couple of teams lose and open up some cracks of hope for the other teams.

Still a handful of games that I don't have scores for, but this is how Region 12 will probably look this week.

1. Sprinfield Shawnee - 20.0625
2. Jonathan Alder - 18.7375
3. Thurgood Marshall - 18.7159
4. Athens - 17.9438
5. Logan Elm - 17.9000
6. Kettering Alter - 16.9000
7. Jackson - 13.6364
8. New Richmond - 13.3875

Indian Hill - 12.9875
Eaton - 10.9125
Taft - 10.4732

Haven't done the numbers for Dayton Dunbar or Kenton Ridge, so they may ahead of some/all of the three teams who are "outside looking in" at this time.

Really wanting an Athens/Jackson game.

I have played in some Great Athens/Jackson games and would love to see another one! Especially if this one was in the Play-Offs...

The Athens/Jackson Shoot-Out of 2001 was great, but their was too much Swisher.
The Athens/Jackson MudBowl of 2002 was billed as an Offensive Heavyweight Bout that actually turned into a Defensive Stranglehold.
The Athens/Jackson SuperFight of 2003 was everything is was advertised to be and then some. Lead changes, onsides kicks, deep passes, big runs, big hits and an unlikely kicker to the rescue.

I think an Athens/Jackson Play-Off Game in 2011 would be huge. Someone call ESPN!

Thanks, OHbuckeye1. Should be able to finalize everything after those Saturday games.

I was worried that Jackson would drop out of the Top 8 this week, but the losses by Eaton, Taft, and Indian Hill made sure that didn't happen.

Once those last few games are over, the numbers I posted above should be pretty much dead on.

Dayton Dunbar's win over Taft has them in contention now. They play Thurgood Marshall in a HUGE game this coming week. If they win that game, they have a chance to sneak in. If they lose, they're out.

Kenton Ridge has games left against Tippecanoe and Tecumseh. If they win one of those games, it'll be interesting. If they win both, they're probably getting in.

Wins by Dunbar over TM, and Kenton Ridge in the next two weeks, are bad for Jackson. They're the only two teams (other than Gallia Academy, of course, in the head-to-head matchup) that can pass Jackson the rest of the way if the Ironmen go 10-0.

looks to me like Jackson has wrapped up at least 8 seed even if they were to be upset by gallipolis in week 10. the only way it could be different is if Dayton Dunbar beat thurgood marshall next week or if kenton ridge beat tecumsah and tippie canoe both.

i don't know if anyone figured this far down. But this region sets up nicley for gallia academy now if they would win out. I know that is asking a lot with all the more point production they have been getting. but if they win out don't need mush help for 8th seed and by the time week get to week 10 if they beat warren they could control their own destiny. i haven't figured it that far that but after a quick glance it sets up pretty well.

Yes, Gallia Academy has a great shot at the #8 seed with wins over Warren and Jackson.

For my projections, I'm assuming that Jackson wins in Week 10, but GAHS could certainly sneak in if they win out.

Jackson should get the #7 seed even with a loss (if my projections go accordingly), but you just never know what upsets will happen (Dunbar & Kenton Ridge). I think the Ironmen are basically locked into the #7 seed if I'm looking at things correctly.

Still don't have a couple out of state scores for Thurgood Marshall, but here's my best guess at next week's rankings. Remember, these are only projections. Not trying to say that this is exactly what will happen or slight any opponents.

1. Jonathan Alder...........(9-0)...Win over Marion Harding....23.9722
2. Thurgood Marshall......(8-1)...Win over Dunbar...............22.0258
3. Springfield Shawnee...(9-0)...Win over Dayton Stebbins...21.5389
4. Athens......................(9-0)...Win over Wellston.............21.0354
5. Logan Elm.................(9-0)...Win over Circleville............20.9500
6. Kettering Alter...........(9-0)...Win over Roger Bacon........19.3444
7. Jackson.....................(9-0)...Win over Chillicothe...........15.6616
8. New Richmond...........(7-2)...Win over Oak Hill...............15.1222

9. Indian Hill..................(7-2)...Win over Deer Park...........14.7000
10. Gallia Academy.........(6-3)...Win over Warren...............14.2444
11. Taft.........................(6-3)...Win over Western Hills.......13.1388
12. Eaton......................(7-2)...Win over Valley View..........12.1722
13. Kenton Ridge...........(7-2)...Loss to Tippecanoe.............10.3778
14. Dunbar...................(5-4)...Loss to Thurgood Marshall...10.3036

I'm pulling for St Charles to beat Marion Harding and Bishop Watterson....Logan over Chillicothe and Chesapeake over Coal Grove.

St Charles will have to play well to beat Bishop Watterson...but possible.

Yes, St. Charles can definitely play with Watterson. That would be a nice little boost for us, but I think we would still be just behind Athens.

A Logan win over Chillicothe would help us against Athens also, but I still have the Bulldogs ahead of us even if that happens. Funny thing is, it would hurt us slightly in the overall scheme of things, but help against Athens.

A game or two here or there, though, and things could certainly change. Once Week 9 is complete, it'll be nice to get all the scenarios nailed down. I'm gonna be out of town on Saturday, so I'll probably be working furiously Friday night. It'll drive me crazy to go all day Saturday and not know what to expect.

Definitely Shawnee, in my opinion.

One of my college roommates graduated from Shawnee.

I think I need to stop talking about all this playoff stuff. Bad karma for the next two weeks. :)

By the way, if Shawnee loses to Tippecanoe, they could lose a home game. They would most likely fall all the way from #1 or #2 to #5.

Latest projection:

If Jackson and Logan Elm go 10-0....Jackson will play at Logan Elm

If Jackson goes 10-0 and Athens goes 10-0 and Amanda beat Logan Elm.....Jackson will play at Athens

I see:

1. Shawnee
2. Jonathan Alder
3. Logan Elm
4. Thurgood Marshall
5. Athens
6. Jackson
7. Archbishop Alter

Alter defeating Chaminade will mess things up in my guesses.....put them up to 5 and everyone down 1

That could definitely happen. CJ beat Alter last year, and could possibly beat them at home this season.

Looks like our final projections are basically the same. Alter/CJ is the main difference. I'm actually leaning more toward CJ winning that game, but I'm gonna stick with Alter for now.

and I still say Athens at 9-1 and Jackson at 10-0 is just about a draw. Athens has the slightest of edges on projections.

And Jackson at 10-0 can't make the playoffs? Kenton Ridge can catch us? (it just is not going to happen...period)....Dunbar....no chance
